Stroll 1 mile out to the pier and lighthouse to take in the sweeping coastal vistas. Follow the 28-mile-long Berwickshire Coastal Path out along the craggy rocks and cliffs into Scotland. Venture 10.5 miles out of town down to the Holy Island Causeway. From here you can walk out to picturesque Lindisfarne at low tide, making sure you leave plenty of time to cross back safely.
