"If you are looking for a warm cosy cottage, dog friendly, in the middle of a working farm, with lovely friendly helpful hosts (even in the middle of lambing in storms....) - then look no further! It’s all freshly decorated so all just like new. 3 horses to greet you at the back door every morning. Free range hens, geese and guinea fowl wandering around the yard. 1000 pregnant ewe’s in the surrounding fields, with about a dozen newborn lambs every morning. Cute little Dexter calves as well. And of course cats and sheepdogs. Oh and Red Kites in the skies.300 acres to walk - including the hill opposite, with amazing views down to the sea. Just the sound of animals, birds, and water (as the stream has lots of lovely little waterfalls). But it’s only 2 miles down the track to Pontarddulais where there are pubs, takeaways and even a big Tesco’s if that takes your fancy. What’s not to love? And if you fancy finding out more about this lovely farm & family find the bbc documentary online on Emlyn “Looking after lambs”.To Justine and Emlyn - thank you! Despite the weather, we had a great time - and we will return."

"A really lovely and comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment which is very peaceful and has glorious ever changing views over the estuary. The Millennium Coastal path in front is a lovely place to stroll/run/cycle along. We found Llanelli a good location for visiting different places along the coast and inland. There is plenty to do within a radius of an hour’s drive. Perhaps the only downside was the lack of a decent pub/restaurant within walking distance, although others have recommended the Brewers Faye as providing good, standard food. There is a recently opened Bistro on the front but the Menu seemed quite limited. A little further away, the Golf Club restaurant is said to have lovely views but there has been a succession of poor reviews -perhaps it will improve soon? However, this didn’t spoil our holiday as we greatly enjoyed eating our meals and sipping our wine in the apartment watching the sea rolling in and out, and the entertainment of the kite surfers on some nights."

"Awelfryn is a very comfortable holiday property with the most amazing views over the surrounding countryside. There aren't many self-catering places we can't fault but this is one of them! The owners, Elinor and Alan, live next door and are very friendly but not intrusive. Llandybie is a 5 minute drive away and has a useful Co-op, butcher, baker and other little shops so you can get all you need for everyday, as well as The Red Lion which, at the time of our stay, was doing good food. If you need a bigger range of shops, Ammanford and Llandeilo are not that far away. Plenty of interesting places to visit, including castles, museums and gardens, also beaches within a reasonable distance. We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Awelfryn and hope very much to stay there again."

"This apartment is absolutely stunning, with the most incredible view of the sea, which is just a stones throw away. It comes well equipped, is incredibly tidy and is spacious and cozy. The area is full of lovely people - we highly recommend going to the Bucket and Spade pub for the pub quiz on a Sunday which is a five minute walk away, full of welcoming locals and a great evening's entertainment. There is a huge beach (Burry Port - Pembrey) which is a short drive away. Also close to the apartment are supermarkets to stock up in, which we recommend doing! All in all, if you're looking for a relaxing stay by the sea, with minimum fuss and a good time - Beachlands is perfect! We would definitely book again!"

"Found the cottage advertised incorrectly. It was on a busy road. The front room was tiny and there was no barbecue as stated, When we arrived the heating was on 30 degrees and we could hardly breath. The location was too far from the town centre and not walking distance to the beach. The front gate is faulty and does not lock so this is not an enclosed garden. There was some room off the kitchen with a door which was full of insects and mice. Overall we were very disappointed and I would not stay here again. The alarm to the house went off and there was no code. No one popped in to see if everything was OK. It was quite a souless house."
