If you’re interested in Brecon Beacons’ produce, don’t miss out on the Penderyn Distillery or Pwll Mawr cheddar. There are also many pubs, restaurants and tea shops to choose from if you need refreshment on route. With minimal light pollution, the Brecon Beacons has an impressive nights sky. If you enjoy star gazing, this is the place to visit. Hopefully the night view will be preserved for years to come as this spot is also a designated International Dark Sky Reserve.

What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In The Brecon Beacons To Rent.

"Beacons Rest is in a beautiful part of Wales with lovely landscape and scenery and plenty of walks right on the doorstep. The owners went over and above to welcome us to their property, which is an annex to their house, sited above their garage and accessed by some outside steps at the rear. This was fine for us but would not be very suitable for anyone with mobility problems, who struggles with stairs. On arrival we were given a freshly baked home made loaf which was really tasty. There was fresh milk, tea bags, etc in the room and everything was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, there were beautiful thick towels, even the loo rolls and kitchen roll were of top quality. The room is a studio with a small 2 hob electric cooker and an all in one microwave/oven/grill, which we did use to cook with although cooking space was limited. Wifi signal was limited, however the owners could overcome this with an extender. Overall we had a lovely peaceful and tranquil few days at this property and would definitely recommend it."

"Beacon's Rest was good in every way - frendly and welcoming owners, good facilities, comfortable and with everything one would need during a stay. Kitchen facilities good - no oven but twin microwave/grill covered all types for cooking. Fridge freezer allowed food to be bought and kept or frozen until needed. The location was great for visiting places within the National Park and further afield - South Wales including Cardiff. Brecon itself is right on the doorstep with ample car parking and three supermarkets. Location itself on the edge of the river on a 'no through road' meant it was extremely quiet and peaceful. TV worked fine - during my stay the Olympics were on and I was able to watch all I wanted. I would certainly recommend Beacon's Rest to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing break amidst lovely scenery."

"The property is part of a complex of three houses on a sheep farm. At just fine house. Area is very nice and very quiet. Is located in the Brecon Beacons, about 20 miles from Brecon. House was quite remote and only accessible by not too good and very narrow weg.Passeren not possible. So hope you do not encounter oncoming traffic. Contrasting with the surroundings were the asphalt / parking at the door. Too bad that this is something more of it. Reception was quite coolly (key is in the door and you will find it from here ..... Owners live next to the cottages, but no interest if everything was okay). What sloppy little bugs in the house (curtains that you can not connect remote that does not work, dishwasher that would not close)."

""Beacons Rest" is set in a very quiet and peaceful location, down a single track lane about 2 miles from Brecon town, the property is light and airy, small and compact and is an ideal location to make a base to explore the Brecon Beacons and the surrounding area for a couple, on their own. The Owners of the property are really lovely, we were left, Milk, Butter, fresh fruit and a local Brecon newspaper also some delicious home made honey bread, really lush, nice touch!! Nothing seemed to much trouble. Would we return to "Beacons Rest" again?? well as a rule we only tour an area once then move on, but Yes we would certainly be very happy to stay there again if ever we happened to revisit the area again."

"We were very warmly welcomed by the owner who gave us a tour through the very complete, cozy cottage. By some nice touches, such as milk, tea and coffee and a nice bottle of white wine in the fridge and a bottle of red on the counter, we felt right "home ". After a week, Ms. Davies was (owner) on the sidewalk with a large laundry bag full of fresh linen and towels, although there was present a washing machine. A pleasant surprise. We ourselves had actually nothing having to clean everything went back again. R nA beautiful area with lots of sheep, waterfalls and quaint seaside villages further away. Cardiff also has a cozy center and beautiful castle is well worth a visit."
