Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to view sea birds and grey seals from Seahouses (3 miles) and Holy Island and the nature reserve of Budle Bay are both a short drive away.

The Bolthole is in the perfect location in Bamburgh, in the village and close to the beach yet also very private and quiet. The accommodation is beautifully furnished and fitted out. We liked it so much we have booked again for next year!

Location is brilliant - able to walk easily to restaurants, the beach and the castle. A real bonus to have secure parking for 2 cars in the centre of the village.

The Bolthole couldn't be in a more convenient position in Bamburgh. Wydenwell's (?) is almost next door, and importantly they do a very good flat white! Excellent butcher and general store, but no cashpoint in town. You will need to need to bring essentials if you plan to stay local. The beach is 5 minutes away. A beautiful, wide, sandy beach with some interesting rock formations, if you like that kind of thing. The house itself is very comfortable, and well-equipped. We had a small maintenance problem on the first day, which was quickly fixed. Bamburgh is a friendly place, and not too busy when we were there at the end of April. Perfect relaxing holiday. Enjoyed a takeaway from the Lobster Pot. Good menu and delicious. Will definitely be back. Thank you
