No smoking. Please note: The garden is on two levels. No stag or hen parties.. Converted from farm buildings in the late 1990’s, this beautiful cottage welcomes guests to a stay beside the glorious unspoilt beaches of Budle Bay. The cottage has a good-sized garden on two levels with views across the bay to Lindisfarne. The large patio offers the option of outside dining, and a charcoal barbecue is available for guests to use.
The master bedroom has a fabulous super king size bed and en-suite bathroom. There is a bedroom with twin beds, and a third bedroom that can either be set up as a twin room or a super king double. The living room is comfortable with two sofas, an upright armchair and floor cushions plus a window seat. Board games, and Netflix and Amazon. The spacious kitchen has a dining table for six people and is a great place to share dinner after a busy day at the beach or sight-seeing.
The real plus point about this cottage is the fact that you have just 550 yards walk from the front door down to the sea. From there you walk along wonderful sandy beaches for as far as your legs can carry you! There are lots of historic and family orientated things to do in the area. Bayside Cottage is just one mile from Bamburgh village which has pubs, restaurants, and a few small shops. Seahouses is about 4 miles away and has wider choice of shops and amenities. A car is very useful to make the most of this location, although there are buses that operate up and down the coast with a bus stop about 40 yards from the front door. Beach 550 yards.

The cottage was lovely and well situated, really quiet, comfortable and warm with a modern, well equipped kitchen. There were plenty of games and books available to use in bad weather, and lovely walks very close by. Unfortunately the en suite bathroom had orange slime growing on the tiles, which spoiled the experience somewhat. There were no appropriate cleaning products available so we had to improvise. The en suite could do with a really good deep clean and re-grout.That said, we had a lovely week at Bayside, and would book again.

Many thanks to the Alnwick office for helping us when we arrived at the cottage.There was no key for the cottage in the box at the front door. As you can imagine this was not a good start to the holiday and was quite a worrying. Luckily we arrived just after 4pm, so able to contact the local office.Just a few issues to mention.The kitchen door into the garden was difficult to open and close.We could not open the door from the living room to the garden at all.Dust and spider webs in between furniture and in corners of rooms.The onsuite bathroom could do with a deep cleaning of the tiles and the light above the bath as plaster missing around the edges.Some of our towels had a slight musty smell.We still had a lovely week and the cottage was a comfy place to stay.
