About this property

This mid-terrace cottage is located in the centre of the popular coastal village of Bamburgh. Close to the village centre, 3 St Cuthbert's Garth is an ideal base for a small family or for two couples wishing to explore Bamburgh and the surrounding area. Tastefully decorated, the cottage offers two bedrooms, both with king-size beds, along with a family shower room. There is a comfortable sitting room with a pretty fireplace housing an electric fire, along with a contemporary fitted kitchen diner with patio doors to the garden. The large rear lawned area is the perfect spot to relax after a long day sightseeing, and is a safe haven for tired doggies to chill out in. Just a short stroll takes you to an array of pubs and restaurants all serving fine food and top-quality ales. Then, when you've had your fill, why not finish your day with a leisurely stroll along the beach and immerse yourself in the spectacular sight of Bamburgh Castle looming grandly over the North Sea? This ancient village also has lovely shops, enticing tea rooms and easy access to beautiful unspoilt countryside. This cosy cottage is perfectly positioned for anyone wishing to visit the Heritage Coast and the Northumberland National Park, home to Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water, along with its many excellent outdoor activities. 3 St. Cuthberts Garth is a wonderful cottage by the sea, perfect for discovering the numerous delights of this gorgeous county.

Bamburgh is one of Northumberland's most popular tourist destinations, thanks to its sweeping sandy beaches and majestic fortification, Bamburgh Castle. This stretch of the county's coastline is dominated by the castle, which can be seen for miles. It is still home to the family of Lord Armstrong, the prominent Victorian industrialist, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Bamburgh village is lovely, despite being overshadowed by the huge castle, with clean grey stone homes facing a manicured town green. Excellent taverns, hotels with restaurants, and a limited range of village shops may all be found here. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and neighbouring Seahouses, and along the magnificent Heritage Coast, there are additional wide sandy beaches, delightful fishing villages, stunning castles, and coastal islands to explore. A short drive away are a number of other sights, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and Berwick-upon-Tweed, a historic walled border town. A fantastic starting point for exploring Northumberland.

The cottage was lovely and clean plus the location is excellent. The downsides to the cottage is the settees are very uncomfortable. The showers need somekind of soap and shampoo holder (not everyone is able to bend down all the time), no baking trays for the kitchen and you really need to put a mind your head sign on the stairs (my husband is 6ft 3 and banged his head and hurt himself). Sorry to moan on because we really did love the cottage but hoping these little things help you and others.

Clean and in good distance to all amenities. Loved our stay. The only thing I would suggest is to have a folder with instructions on how to use the hob and heating I couldn't find anything in your box and I use a gas hob so not familiar with electric. This was my only struggle.
