"After looking for somewhere to stay whilst working away, and spending lots of time in hotels. I noticed Dock Road whilst searching and was surprised to see the price was around the same as hotels near by. Being Vegan I always struggle to find hotels that can provide me with food I can eat, so being able to cook my own food was a massive plus. The kitchen was well equipped for cooked although some of the utensils needed cleaning before use. The cottage was very spacious and the bedrooms and bathroom very clean. The living space could have been cleaner as lots of crumbs and old food on the carpets and under the sofas. Very close to a local Asda and other shops, so nipping out to pick up anything was easy. Overall I had a very good experience at Dock Road. The minor cleanliness issue twinned with the heating not being on for my arrival which left the house very cold for the first night, are the only issues I have. I would definitely stay here again."

"The cottage's decor is very dated and needs an upgrade. We didn't like the hostile notices stuck up all over the place telling us not to do this and not to do that! Of all the cottages we've stayed in over the years, this is the first one where there wasn't a welcome pack, not even a small bottle of milk or a few tea bags was available on arrival. When we've stayed in Cornwall/Devon scones, jam, cream and a bottle of wine/cider was provided along with tea/coffee, milk so the customer relations for this cottage needs some work!We were also unsure what the extra money we had to leave on the table was for as we didn't use the pool and you would expect the lighting in the car park to be included. We were also absolutely astonished that there was no WiFi as it hadn't occurred to us that there wouldn't be!The only good thing was the view from the lounge over the harbour and the cottage's close location to the village."

"- Points cooker very dirty, two pairs of dirty and smelly socks by radiator, huge cobweb in window light with as may as 20 to 30 dead wasps in webdid clean ourself, no WiFi code little other cottage notes, but mainly heating not working. Cottage owner contacted didn’t seem to believe problems but did immediately arrange local agent to pop around.+ Agent got WiFi code from cottage next door, primed boiler pressure and got heating in adjoining cottage working but controls in Megs cottage not working so no heating except for free standing electric radiators. Eventually moved to one of the agents cottages at Belford clean but not ideal for a person with walking difficulties as bedroom upstairs. Would I stay there again if property was cleaned and maintained properly then yes as it’s in a great location."

"Our holiday at the Toll House in Berwick-upon-Tweed was for a week at the start of September 2018. Retired couple plus dog. We found the place very clean and comfortable. We knew beforehand that it was by a main road, compact and did not have a dishwasher nor tumble dryer. However it was well equipped and many consumables had been provided, including several bottles of wine. Being about 160 yards from the railway station and near the town worked well for our leave-the-car-at-home holiday. The bed was extremely comfortable, which was a key feature, so often lacking in many expensive properties. An ALDI was very useful at ten minutes walk. Various bus routes pass the property. The Toll House worked really well and we had a very enjoyable week."

"Beehive Barn is a top quality holiday let with lots of space and is really well and thoughtfully equipped. The welcome included not only fresh milk and flowers but also some scrumptious scones with cream and jam. My husband and I were able to cook entirely separate meals at the same time without getting under one another's feet in the enormous kitchen. Though close to the main A1(M) we didn't hear traffic, but the windy weather created an atmospheric growl that made huddling on the sofas in front of a wood burning stove even more cosy each night. The barn is well situated for local beauty spots and places of interest but check the tide tables on the notice board if you are visiting Lindisfarne or plan to walk the wide sand beaches."
