What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Northumberland To Rent.
- Charlie T, July 2016 - verified booking
"We loved the country setting (yet only a few minutes from the A1), the large bedrooms, the fully equipped spacious kitchen with large dining table, the large bathroom with walk in shower and bath, breakfast on the roof terrace (a real sun trap), relaxing in the hot tub, and the enclosed garden (for our dog). Belford is a friendly little town with all the local amenities within easy walking distance of the cottage, yet only a short drive from the lovely beach at Bamburgh and the big town amenities of Alnwick. We were pleasantly surprised at how many dog-friendly pubs and shops there were in the area generally - so it was great to all get out together of an evening. Despite the Berwick being a pet-friendly cottage, and our border terrier Bobbi loved it, there was absolutely no sign of any previous tenants being of the 4-legged variety, as the owner Colin keeps it equipped and maintained to a high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our week there."

"Location was good for us as we were out every day & had a family wedding to attend in Hexham. However there were no amenities onsite & lots of building work to new lodges. Lake advertised was not as expected. Hot tub was not let down prior to our visit or that clean throughout our stay. Toilet seat kept coming off in main bathroom, I fixed it. Bin was broken in kitchen & shower head in ensuite was split so couldn't use without water spraying over top of shower screen & soaking everything. Did contact owners to inform them there were no spare keys as described in welcome pack & that bin was already broken. Didn't bother them with other stuff in the end as we were out but not the point. Unsure it was worth nearly a grand for the week?"

"We stayed in Magnolia Lodge for 3 nights, as a group of 5 adults and booked this particular lodge as it looked good value. Firstly the positives were the location being so close to kielder forest, the beds were comfy, the hot tub was good fun and the local creperie restaurant was fantastic. However despite being advertised as dog friendly it wasn't particularly set up appropriately for dogs. Also the second double room was clearly only meant for a single bed as you could only just squeeze two people and a bed in there. Lastly the only choice of wine glasses were nasty plastic ones meant for the hot tub. None of this spoilt our stay but if we were to return to the area we would definately try somewhere else."

"We arrived in the midst of a massive thunder and lightening storm the rain was torrential. Once we located the cottage the first impression was OMG its grim however once inside nothing could have been further from the truth. More than adequate size wise, clean, well equipped, comfortable and neat. A great village as a base for local attractions and a stonking county to visit. Sad to see the decline of the town best represented by the local Blue Bell Hotel which was dreadful. Such a shame such a bonny town has been left practically soulless through the closure of stores although the Co-op was great. Lovely people, great part of the country and very good cottage."

"Fabulous cottage. Everything you need for a home from home. Plenty of space, lots of kitchen equipment and a lovely location. The children loved feeding the chickens and the fish each day and collecting eggs for their breakfast. We all loved chilling in the hot tub after a day exploring Northumberland (and a bit of Scotland and Cumbria too). The torches in the bedrooms were a lovely touch as it was so dark at night, not complaining but children and strange houses etc!! Was lovely to know the owner, Chris, was on hand if needed and nothing seemed too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and am looking to see if we can book to stay again!"
