Guests say

Canny Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring Northumberland. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, cosy wood burner, and the property's proximity to beautiful beaches and countryside. The presence of a nearby railway line is noted, but most found it a minor issue or got used to it quickly. The cottage's thoughtful touches and responsive owners contribute to a delightful stay.

Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'immaculate inside', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently praised for its centrality to Northumberland attractions and ease of access to the A1. However, the proximity to the railway line and an industrial facility slightly impacts the score.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and spacious, with a wood burner that adds to the ambience on cold evenings. The comfort of the beds and living spaces is highlighted.

The cottage is well-equipped according to guests, but some mentioned a lack of certain items like bathroom bins and mirrors over sinks. The mention of a slow Wi-Fi connection and the need for more firelighters slightly affects the score.

While guests appreciate the responsiveness of the owners and the overall comfort provided, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that are guaranteed for every stay, thus a score cannot be provided.

From top to bottom the owner has gone to every effort to make it a perfect little home from home for his visitors. I cannot praise this accommodation enough! It is well appointed, warm and comfortable throughout. There was nothing he could do about the railway line just 40yds or so away from the cottage but in truth it never bothered us. Conveniently placed for Holy Island, Bamburgh and Seahouses, and just 20 minutes north of Alnwick this cottage and its location were perfect I’m pretty sure we’ll be back soon!
