What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Chillingham To Rent.
Dr Morris - verified booking
"Great location for exploring the local area. Nice cottage with great views though it looks like they may be building at the front so the view may not be so great in the future. The house was nice inside. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms with good quality fittings and furnishings. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped - nice cooker etc. - though it could do with more crockery, cutlery and utensils. A family of four would struggle if all you have is four or six of certain things. A few things need attention. A number of light bulbs gone, things like towel hooks and bathroom cabinets not fixed to wall very securely. Decor also very bland with magnolia cream and beige everywhere. A bit more imagination would be nice. These are all minor issues, however. Overall a very comfortable stay with nice quality beds and sofa and bathrooms. Local pub excellent. Already recommended to friends!"

"This is a modern and accessible apartment. It is well and attractively furnished. Great location for Durham, the North Pennine dales, Beamish and Durham Heritage Coast, which are both beautiful and historic. Having returned to this area after 40 years, most of the traces of the heavy industrial past are gone, but the pride and memories of locals are strong. The Upper valleys of Tees, Wear and Tyne are stunning beautiful and so much less crowded than the Yorkshire Dales; hidden gems. A week of beautiful weather and clear blue skies helped! My only grumbles were traffic noise and the window blinds which let in early morning light. I would be happy to revisit this property."

"The furnishings were all of exceptional quality and extremely comfortable. The setting was beautiful with wonderful views from the large lounge and sitting area and it was a joy to sit out in the pretty garden at the table listening to the birdsong and soaking up the last rays of the sun looking out over green rolling fields. There was everything you could possible want in the kitchen, every amenity and utensil you could conceivably require. The owners were around if you needed them and even solved a TV issue (after a minor power outage which disturbed the settings) with great speed (thankfully as it was World Cup semi final!) Simply cannot recommend this property enough."

"It was superbly clean, comfortable and quiet with so much space for our family with two teenagers who need their own space. The views from the sunroom and lounge were beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed, a true home from home as we love home cooking. The utility was spacious and an extra bonus and the property had excellent access to Morpeth ( a wonderful town to visit, has the spirit of Lyme Regis we felt) and the amazing local beaches with miles and miles of incredible sand. We loved it so much we booked a week next summer even before we had finished our week there!"
