Snaptrip says

The Old Bakery in Wooler is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its homely charm, excellent location, and thoughtful touches such as flowers and welcome packs. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and attractions, though some mention the church clock's chimes and parking challenges. It's considered ideal for short stays, cosy, and a good base for exploring Northumberland.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and well-maintained, with only minor suggestions for improvement, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to shops, cafes, and local walks, with a reserved parking space noted as a bonus. However, concerns about parking during peak season and noise from the church clock slightly affect the score.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with a warm and cosy atmosphere. Some guests, however, find the bed and sofa less comfortable, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and having a wood burner and large fridge freezer. Some minor maintenance issues and a desire for a shower are noted, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.

The thoughtful gestures of a welcome pack with wine, biscuits, and dog treats are frequently mentioned and appreciated. It should be noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Pleased to see that the shower had been installed above the bath, which I didn't see from the picture when I booked in late 2023. Beware the church bell ringing at a most unreasonably early hour!

The location was amazing. Wooler is such a beautiful place. The only complaint we have is that the main bedroom mattress needs replacing, if you sleep on the left side (looking at the bed from the foot ), you find yourself rolling to the right. Other than that we had the best time and it was a home away from home. Thank you very much Kathy!!

Beds very comfy and lacked nothing in space and amenities. Dog very happy there too. Very central for visiting coastal towns in and around the Scottish Borders.
