"Ideal place for me to stay. Loved the location, loved the building. Corbridge itself, and Northumberland in general, were both beautiful. I did a lot of walking locally and a lot of sightseeing further afield - Kielder Observatory, Alnwick Castle, Hadrian's Wall, and Farne Island boat trip all recommended days out. Co-op within easy walking distance of home for meals or snacks after a day out, and plenty of places to choose from for a night out.I could imagine that it would get very warm in The Stable in summer due to window size and location, but when I went (May/June) it was just right. The place seemed very quiet and private, I could sit and read in peace, and slept very well. As other reviews have said, the fan in the bathroom is extremely loud and stays on for a good 5-10 minutes after the light goes off, so take a torch instead of turning the light on if you need to pay a visit during the night.Kitchen was well equipped, didn't need to bring anything from home to cook or eat with. Washing up liquid, cloth, tea towels all provided, as was microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, iron, clothes airer, Hoover, and hair dryer in the bedroom too.The *only* thing that wasn't great was the WiFi. It worked better downstairs than upstairs, and dropped every minute or so, so it was possible to use the internet to search for information but not much more than that. If you need to be online, make sure you've got a large data allowance on your mobile phone instead.Other than that - and I went on holiday to get unplugged anyway so it wasn't really an issue for me - I was very happy with my choice of accommodation and would happily stay there again."

"Ideal ground floor flat for us & our 16 year old Springer Spaniel, Jenny, who can no longer climb stairs. She found the laminate floor a bit tricky but we knew it was there so not a surprise to us. She could now win Dancing on Ice. The huge rug in front of the 2 sofas & fire was her favourite snuggle place.Very clean, comfortable & has everything you need. Great shower, lashings of hot water & good heating system - we went mid March so we needed the warmth in the evenings. All you would need to take is your personal stuff & food. 2 minutes dog walk from the sea - wonderful. Well stocked shop across the road and a good selection of independant shops just along the main street. Glenton's bakery is fab - lots of choice, great staff and the best bacon butties & hot tea after a long walk on the beach. Seek it out.Don't be put off by the fact it's on a main road - the flat is quiet. We weren't disturbed at all by any road noise, slept like logs.Neighbours are friendly, helpful & chatty, which suited us for local info.We were only there 3 nights - wish it could have been a longer stay."

"Excellent cottage owned by the lovely Michelle (we didn’t meet Robin). Spotlessly clean, everything worked as it should, soft towels and the best welcome basket ever. Not that we cooked (unless you count a baked potato one evening) but there were plenty of utensils, a very good oven with instructions, and sharp knives should you wish to stay in and cook. Cottage also had the most comfortable seating that we have ever encountered in a holiday cottage. Sitting relaxing in a recliner with feet up was bliss after a long day out and just like being at home but with no stress. Comfortable seating in conservatory also. Dining table in conservatory and it was chilly a couple of mornings but we put fan heater on for a few minutes each time which resolved problem. Ate out in the evenings in Corbridge or Hexham as no pub we liked the look of in close proximity to cottage, but no problem as easy drive to both. All in all a super cottage we would return to."

"We loved this home so much that we don’t want to share it so the availability doesn’t disappear too quickly ??Seriously though a fab location, view stunning. The owners have put so much thought and effort into the accommodation to make it feel like a beautiful relaxing holiday home ,which they have definitely achieved. More so with this being their very first season of rentals. The home is fresh, clean, well maintained and little personal welcoming touches which go that extra mile for a guest. No pets at this home accepted which is a huge bonus for our family.Well equipped home & immaculately clean.Bedding & towels provided of the best quality & condition ... new!!! We didn’t want to leave after our 7 night stay & would have happily stayed longer if poss.So if you’re looking for a friendly, relaxing home with a gorgeous view (see sunrise photo),HOMELEA is your first choice. Great for families.Looking forward to returning ASAP."

"The biggest problem was that there was NO over bath shower in the king size en-suite as described on the web-site, but only a hand held shower attachment suitable for hair washing only together with the bath. This left a very small circular shower in the twin en-suite which was very difficult to use. The hot water supply was via a tank heated by an immersion heater which only supplied half a bath of water before running cold meaning a long wait between baths for the family (4 people).Other minor problems included no welcome pack meaning we had to try and work out how the various white goods worked (cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, etc), central heating (we had to contact the owner on this),no DVD as described which was a shame as we had brought DVD's to watch of an evening.Overall the cottage was quite pleasant and comfortable but we would not return as, in my opinion, it is not suitable for a family."
