"The photos don’t do this property justice. It’s a lovely, large family home. Disappointed however that there was no outdoor furniture (despite this being listed in the property’s amenities) so we couldn’t make use of this large garden in the summer heatwave. The garden was quite unkempt too which is a shame as we couldn’t just lie out because the grass was too long and it wasn’t great for the kids to run around in as there were too many long weeds and nettles poking out from the borders.Having said that, we still really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it. I went with my two children (18 & 12) and my sister with her two children (19 & 16) and there was enough space for us to spread out and chill out or sit together socially.Ideal location just off the A1 and not far to the local supermarkets in Alnwick (about 6 miles). The living room with log burner will be beautiful to cosy up in on the colder months.Overall, I would recommend and I would go back."

"Very small, uncomfortable sitting area, could not relax at night. Bathroom sink an absolute joke, could not clean teeth properly. Had to lean sideways which made a mess down cupboard doors. Other guests have commented in the book regarding this but, owner done nothing to rectify it. The owner runs a kennel type dog holiday business from her house and when we arrived she was out and the dog she had barked constantly until she returned, we did wonder wether to even get our things from the car. This happened a few times when she went out. I didn't notice it saying she ran this on the site, if it did, my mistake, if not I think it should be as the barking was somewhat annoying. It's ok for a couple of days but, certainly no more. Needs a conservatory on the back for a more relaxing sitting area. Not enjoyable when 2 adults are trying to relax on a 2 seater."

"Lovely house. Very comfortable and clean - all like new. Great location very short walk to the beach. We visited with my teenage daughter and her friend, they loved the tennis court and being able to walk to the beach by themselves. They even went crabbing! Beautiful area, lovely walks, even went for a run on the beach. Beach yoga available on weekends too. Would also be great with smaller children, rock pools a short walk away and beach goes on for miles, tide goes out a long way so lots of shallow water.Houses are quite close together which I was a little concerned about (we are not used to neighbours where we live) but it really wasn’t an issue. Still very quiet. Would love to visit again one day."

"This was an excellent base for exploring the Northumberland countryside and coast. Because I was staying on my own with my dog, I appreciated the fact that Mary was at hand, but not at all intrusive, should there have been a problem. The accommodation is beautiful and very quiet, so I slept very well indeed. Having travelled quite a distance, l was delighted to discover so many beaches and country parks within a 10 minute drive, so we could relax and potter. Had the weather been a tad warmer we would have enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Mary will do anything to help you make the most of your holiday. I very much look forward to a return visit as this holiday was so refreshing!"

"All the houses within this development are very close together. If all the houses were occupied I imagine that the area could become quite noisy and there would be a subsequent lack of privacy within a lot of houses within the development.Beadnell has a small general store but there's not a lot of variety on offer which seems a bit strange given all the self-catering properties and caravan sites within the village. You really have to travel to Seahouses for a greater variety of Restaurants, a filling station, and a supermarket.Beadnell is certainly a more pleasant village than Seahouses due in part to the lack of commercial & industrial influences"
