What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Wifi In Ashington To Rent.
- Ms Woodhall-james, October 2016 - verified booking
"This cottage is the nicest cottage so far, it felt very relaxing, comfortable & we settled straight away, as did our dog Lucca. It is very warm & cosy, the heating system works efficiently to keep the cottage warm & welcoming in the evening when returning back at the cottage. The beds are amazingly comfy and we slept very well. The cottage was spotless, and easy to keep clean and tidy, very well designed. The smart TV & WiFi made our stay in the evenings active, whilst sitting with our tired dog after our walks on the beaches. The kitchen was very well equipped, because we have food allergies and our dog on holiday with us, we tend to eat in and cook our evening meals. The only thing it lacked was a grabrail on the bath wall to support transfers into the bath and for use of the overbath shower, as the bath is deep to step in and out. The owners Aaron & Michelle were very supportive, they contacted us to ensure we'd got the door lock number and to confirm if we had any issues or difficulty with the electric lock mechanism, to ring them back. The lock was fine and not difficult to use on our arrival. We have just 're booked to return to Silversands Cottage at Amble in February 2017 and always book our cottage through Sykes."

"Had such a lovely short stay here with a group of girl friends. From the moment we walked in I was impressed. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable that you will have to force yourself to go out and visit the beautiful Northumberland coast line. It was spacious, clean and had some lovely touches in terms of decoration. There is a full kitchen with anything you could need for your stay. Literally everything has been thought about for the convenience of the guests. There is also good speed WiFi and a shop just a couple of minutes walk down the road. We went to The Boathouse for tea which is in a lovely setting and the food was so good. The bonus was it was only a short walk to get there from the cottage. There was also a little market we had a look around on the Sunday along with stalls with local sellers of food and arts and crafts. This cottage would also work as an excellent base for people staying longer and wanting a base to go and explore more of Northumberland. Really enjoyable stay."

"The cottage was roomy, light and extremely well presented. It had everything we could possible need and more. It was cosy and comfortable and full of little features and touches that made you feel welcome. The bedrooms in particular were lovely and snug, the bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in! The position of the cottage, whilst on a small residential street, was quiet and we had no problem parking. In two minutes we were on the beach, or walking to the harbour which was brilliant for us and our dog! Amble is a good base for exploring Northumberland and we had a lovely holiday despite some dodgy weather. Would definitely come again and were grateful to have found this little gem."

"We loved this cottage which is a very high standard and beautifully furnished, supplied and presented. The reason it hasn't scored all 10s is there is no downstairs cloakroom which did make it very difficult for us, as we are both arthritic. We did of course know this when we booked but hadn't realised the stairs would be quite as steep and long as they are. Otherwise we'd love to stay there again. The kitchen is wonderful with an Aga and the sun room a great place to sit with a drink and watch the sheep, pheasants and squirrels right outside the windows. The beds and pillows are SO comfortable. Perhaps the owner would consider putting in a tiny WC under the stairs?"

"Having stayed in a number of self-catering places this was definitely the most well-equipped and comfortable one so far. Everything you could think of was supplied and more including treats for the dogs and a very generous welcome pack including wine, cake and other goodies. The kitchen with the Aga was a boon as we did get wet a couple of times and drying the clothes on the airier was quick and efficient. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable as was the lounge. Plenty of space in the garden and ample parking for two to three cars in the drive. We cannot recommend this highly enough and will certainly be going back again."
