What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Blanchland To Rent.

"What a great week we had! The owner was there to greet us and had lit the woodburner and put our electric blanket on too. Our dogs were welcomed and it was great to know that we could relax and not worry about the tiled floor getting doggy footprints on it, easily wiped away! There was a lovely tea tray for us with tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread and marmalade. The location was fabulous and we enjoyed revisiting old haunts and discovering new ones. We know the area fairly well but it was our first time staying in St John's Chapel. There are endless walks on the door step, and 2 welcoming pubs within a short walk from Heckberry Cottage. We took our slow cooker with us as it's great for having something warm after a long walk. the only other thing that would be a benefit is a small indoor clothes airer, certainly not a major issue though! We would love to go back and would highly recommend it."

"This was our second stay. Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Total silence most of the time. Big sky and unparalleled views over the valley. Only one mile from Hexham and excellent town amenities. The beautiful Northumbrian countryside and coast is very easily accessible. The cottage has everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Wi-fi worked well and good television reception, although the view was far more appealing! The lovely owner of this cottage lives next door and is very kind, helpful, approachable and non intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The weather was very hot during all of our stay but the cottage did not overheat. We will be returning as soon as we can. Wonderful holiday, thank you."

"This is an amazing property with the WOW factor in bucket loads! It was spotlessly clean and was equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. No expense has been spared by the owners and this makes it a fantastic base to explore the surrounding countryside. The views from the cottage are breathtaking, you can’t grow tired of just sitting, looking. We also witnessed some spectacular sunsets! The nearest big town is Hexham, which has everything you need, and is a lovely place to bimble around. We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries, you will not find a better place to stay."

"Although the cottage was charming we were disappointed with the garden as not enclosed fully as suggested in the description of the property. Having very small terrier that move very quickly we had to keep them tethered when outside. There was also a problem with parking our car at the cottage as if we had used the track down to the cottage we would have ground the car as it has a rather low suspension. I believe a 4x4 would have been of more use. This did not stop us enjoying our stay but had we known of these two problems we would have not booked the cottage.None the less a charming cottage in lovely countryside."

"We stayed here over Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is excellent, in a lovely quiet location, without being too remote, and has absolutely everything you need! We received a warm welcome from Simon just after our arrival, and he is available by telephone if there are any problems whilst there. Our dog was made to feel very welcome (unlike other “dog friendly “places we have visited.) We will definitely return, hopefully when the weather is better, to make use of the barbecue and decking area. Thank you Simon, you have a really lovely place!"
