"Absolutely fabulous cottage for holidaying!!!!! Grace and Iver (the owners) were perfectly lovely and very accommodating. The cottage itself, was picture perfect........ it was very well equipped with all the mod cons. All beds were extremely comfortable and good nights sleep was had by all. Bathroom was clean and towels were supplied for the whole party. Lounge was very cosy and the log burner was perfect for a cosy evening in front of the T.V (with plenty of channels to chose from). The kitchen was extremely well equipped and as a family we enjoyed having the benefit of dishwasher and washing machine. Our two dogs were made very welcome at the cottage and loved been nosey in the enclosed garden. A short walk to Caernarfon town (about 10 mins...with a dog that sniffs EVERYTHING) made this cottage all the more appealing and the views of the Menai Straits (2 min walk) from the gardens decked area was immense. The location felt very safe and secure and was private without being secluded. Although a working farm, it was remarkably quiet, especially in the mornings. Bird song in the morning was lovely as well as the occasional bat flying by at night. We loved it so much, we've already booked for next year.......a first for us!!!!!Highly recommended xx"

"A wonderful cottage that provided us with a great base for our weekend getaway in the countryside. There were 7 of us in total and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bwthyn Meulan. We were very impressed by our warm welcome - a friendly and informative introduction to our home for the weekend, alongside a home-made Victoria sponge was brilliant! The house itself was a gem - very spacious and a beautiful mix of old and new. The electricity cut out on the Saturday morning which was a shame as we weren't able to cook our full breakfast as intended so some food did go to waste which was a shame (and the hob/oven were rather slow to heat up), but otherwise everything in the cottage worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were new and well-fitted and the bathtub was excellent - even in the snow! :) Some soap in the bathrooms would have been perfect, just as a side note. Out stay at Bwthyn Meulan was wonderful and we'd highly recommend it to all those interested in a beautifully refurbished cottage, with easy access by car but in a remote enough area to enjoy the countryside, a good walk, beach times and pub lunches!"

"As this was our first ever cottage holiday we feel that we have been truly spoilt. Bwthyn Meulan was everything and more that we would have liked, the beds were extremely comfy and the rooms were of a very good size. The living area was really nice and with it being open planned it enabled us to spend some real quality time together. The cottage was very well equipped from everything you could need in the kitchen (tea, coffee, cleaning equipment, toaster etc) to toys, games, dvds, books, highchair and much more.Bwthyn Meulan is well located for everything that we had planned to do, we never had to drive any longer than 30 minutes to get to places like Snowdon, castles and zip world which was really useful after a long day out. We couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough and the photos do not do justice to the size of the place.Thankyou Ellen for letting us stay in such a great place and thank you for such a warm welcome and of course the fab cake."

"Our week's stay was very relaxing and the cottage was clean and tidy and well equipped. It was a perfect location for walking to Caernarfon every day (about a mile). The only downside was that you are a little overlooked from every window so don't have much privacy unless you keep all the curtains closed (the bathroom window opens onto the owners entrance and car parking area). The garden is not private at all and the furniture could do with being replaced and an umbrella would have been nice with the table and chairs on the decking. When we were there the dishwasher was a little temperamental and could do with fixing. All that aside, I would recommend as it was very peaceful and a beautiful setting being near the sea - it could just do with a little more privacy."

"Great short break with grandchildren secluded and safe for children to play. Small cottage but ideal for family's with small children as access to children's room through main bedroom. Well equipped kitchen plenty pan's plates cups etc, didn't expect washing up liquid toilet roll hand wash as self catering but everything there. The owner made us very welcome when we arrived left us cake, jug of milk in fridge and teabags in teapot & said to knock if we needed anything, he came to say good bye night before we left as he was going out early next morning and as nobody was following us on no rush to leave day after. We all had a great stay and would stay again."
