About this property

This renovated stone barn has been completed to a high standard, offering a gorgeous space to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage has been turned upside down creating cosy bedrooms on the ground floor and making the most of the space and the views with a bright and airy opened planned living area upstairs.

On the first floor there is a fantastic open plan living area. This is an ideal spot to all get together and relax after a busy day exploring.

The kitchen is spacious and has everything that you could need with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

There is a dining and seating area with log burning stove and flat screen TV.

There are two bedrooms - one double and one twin - located on the ground floor. Both rooms have en-suites. Off the double room there is a bath with shower overhead, loo and hand basin. The twin en-suite has a shower, loo and hand basin.

There is a balcony with garden furniture which is the ideal spot to admire the views of the Anglesey countryside.

In this peaceful countryside location, on the south east corner of Anglesey, you get the best of both worlds. Rolling fields and the sounds of nature all around you, Menai Bridge and Red Wharf Bay are just a short drive away. You are therefore within easy reach of a variety of shops, eateries, attractions and sandy beaches.

Partridge Cottage is one of three cottages with its own exterior space. The cottages can be booked individually but also offer an ideal solution for friends and family wanting to holiday together while staying in separate accommodation. Teal Cottage also sleeps 4 and Mulberry Cottage sleeps 6. Please see individual cottage pages for full descriptions and facilities.

This delightful town sits right on the edge of the Isle of Anglesey and is home to one of two bridges to mainland Wales. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 9th century, hence the name of the 14th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around. The Snowdonia National Park is within driving distance for you outdoor enthusiasts, it has wonderful walking, cycling and opportunities to see some beautiful sights. Upstairs is large with a good view, we enjoyed the balcony. I hadn't anticipated the noise from the road , although it wasn't too loud. The property was clean, there were lots of cobwebs, I needed to get rid of though. Our biggest problem were the beds, they were so uncomfortable, I didn't get a decent nights sleep all week. The mattresses need replacing they are too soft and lumpy. I ached everywhere We had no problems with the WiFi and streaming Netflix etc. The freezer door wasn't shutting properly and the freezer was running constantly until my husband fixed it. There had been some sort of leakage inside, which had frozen on the outside of one of the drawers which stopped the door closing . We had difficulty finding the farm as had our neighbours. The directions took us to an older entrance. A bigger sign outside Wern farm would help. The farm is lovely and its a really nice set-up for family holidays. We were never disturbed by the farm activity . If it were not for the beds we would return, but I couldn't cope with them again

Great location. Very well appointed, could do with a long handled broom to allow guests to sweep. Also, it would be fair to mention the stairs are steeper than normal in the web description. These were a struggle for my older parents and the only reason I would not recommend to all.

The WiFi access to any internet, let alone broadband is terrible. We are talking dial-up 1990's internet speed here. If you want to be able to stream video on your phone or any platform you won't be able to. You'll struggle to load thumbnails of apps like iPlayer or Netflix let alone play the movies. Even reading BBC news on their site is slow to. If you want to work and download/upload files from e-mail or any cloud, you'll be frustrated. I wasn't able to do any of the above throughout my entire stay even in the middle of the night without competition from neighbouring lets on site. If you want any of the above (especially kids that like to use their ipads, which I guess is most of you), I suggest you look elsewhere.
