What our customers say about their holidays

    • Claire - Verified booking

      Really lovely apartment block.

The apartments are in a great location. Just a short walk away from the beach. We had booked for a family of four, but there were only 3 cups and saucers and only 3 mugs. The worktop saver has only one foot at the bottom, so it is tricky to use when serving and preparing food. I would definitely have packed my own pillow and mattress protectors had I known that they were not provided. The drawers were broken in the twin room, as was the blind. When we experienced the problem with the door code (which did not allow entry to the apartment block) we needed to make several telephone calls ourselves to liaise with maintenance company. This wasn't ideal, as we had made plans for the day, but we were unable to leave the apartment. We did receive a message to say that someone would be able to look at the door, but that it wouldn't be until the following day. This is not helpful when you are on holiday. It was actually very stressful.

We have stayed on this road before, a few doors up as a comparison, and we found this house much cleaner, better maintained and stocked.

The only issue, and we note that people have had the same issue before us according to the guest book, is that the hot water is very unreliable. We understand that its solar powered and that there's an electric shower downstairs but my wife needs a powerful shower to do her hair and stop it from getting tangled and all electric showers lose a lot of power when the water is warmer obviously so we wanted to use the proper shower. For the last 2 days we had zero hot water. The sun was out (in fact one day was glorious) but it wasn't working clearly. That didn't really matter too much, it was still a fantastic house but wanted to let you know. We would definitely come again as there was nothing it was missing. Thank you!

The apartment itself is well laid out and was spotlessly clean.

A generous welcome pack was waiting for us, including wine, fresh milk, Welsh treats and lovely fresh flowers. Our only gripe was the awkward parking space. Because of this I’ve rated the accuracy of the listing as 4/5. If the adjoining space and the one in front are occupied it’s tricky to park. We have a large, long estate car which made reversing in the best option but very difficult. But that leaves little room for the driver to get out because of the wall. I think it should be mentioned on the website, especially if the driver needs plenty of room to access/exit the vehicle. If the listing was amended to show this we would definitely recommend this property.

A brilliant apartment, probably one of the best we have stayed in.

Love the location. We were lucky with the weather, the tide was high every day and it was quite windy. Parking was busy everywhere due to it being Bank Holiday. Our only problem with Bay View is 12A parking space. As has been mentioned before, we had great difficulty in getting our long car in and out. We were blocked in one day and couldn't go out, however we started to use one of the visitor spaces and that was fine. Light bulbs gone in bedside lights, extractor fan very strange- it seems to blow rather than extract food fumes, the plug hole in the bathroom won't close properly so it lets water out. Sorry to seem negative but really the apartment is super. Thank you!

      Hi, very good apartment.

Sadly the previous comments that we read were correct. There were quite a few maintenance issues that hadn’t been addressed. My husband fixed the fridge door, so it could close! Tightened the kitchen sink drain to stop it leaking! Tightened the en suite door to prevent it becoming dangerous! Sadly we were unable to fix the bed to stop it creaking as it was actually broken! I do wish owners would stay in their own holiday lets to see what is amiss. Having said that we were happy overall with the apartment, it was clean & plenty of room for 2 people. The welcome gifts were lovely.
