Perhaps the directions could give the exact mileage. It's a long road from Gwalchmai! The cottage was beautifully warm, due to underfloor heating, although I couldn't get the thermostats in the bathroom and kitchen to go above 17 degrees C. I had to go to YouTube to decipher the symbols on the cooker. There were no dishwasher tablets, but plenty of washing up liquid, So I assumed that I should wash the dishes myself. A drainer rack would have been helpful. The fridge was small, and the ice box was so iced-up that there was hardly any room. I should have asked the size of the two steps down into the kitchen, as they were deep and steep and I struggled to use them (I walk with a crutch). The bedroom was comfortable, but small and lacking storage space. There was a wardrobe in the living area, which was adequate, although I didn't unpack some items. There was a most unhygienic-looking toilet brush in the bathroom, which could have been the source of a faint smell. The size of the bath towels was raised last October, maybe sooner, and the owner told me larger ones would be in place after my stay. I don't know why it has taken so long. (Ditto the outside light, which doesn't seem to have been fixed for a while - and it is very dark there.) There was no safety mat or grab rails for the bath or the shower, so I could not use them. The living area contained "rustic" furniture (apart from a very comfortable sofa). Perhaps a PVC coated cloth, or similar, could be provided, as the planks the table comprised of had deep grooves. The wi-fi was a bit hit or miss, as was telephone availability. It has been a wet winter and the cottage is in a remote, rural area, with enormous tractors going up and down the lanes. The parking area to the side of the cottage was becoming muddy - perhaps a better base could be provided. The stream and local birds were a joy. But the garden really needs some tlc to get rid of dead shrubs, etc and perhaps put in some low maintenance plants to make it look less neglected. All councils vary in which items can be recycled, bin collection days, etc. It would be really helpful if all owners of holiday rentals could provide full details of what can be recycled, where it goes and which day the various bins are collected. Otherwise, those renting can Google the relevant council to obtain details

Lovely tasteful decor, peaceful location, great shower and bed. Loved feeding and watching the birds from the lounge window and we had all manor of birds and a pheasant come for their breakfast. Now for the negatives many of which have been previously raised and seemingly ignored by the owner. No outdoor lights work or fitted which is not great when taking dog outside for calls of nature (torch on phone a life saver), very very strange constant unpleasant smell permeating from the bathroom (toilet) which is maybe because we are in the country. Bath towels only adequate but really need to be larger. Unsightly blue piping and concrete square laying in garden hedgerow. Kitchen very cold (we didn’t see the thermostat) and lacking in glasses and kitchen crockery. On the second evening around 11 pm we were subjected to approximately two hours of local farmers using the lanes as a rally racing track. A stream of cars started to arrive and proceeded to park right outside the cottage. Initially we thought someone had broken down and didn’t go outside to enquire. Although this is no fault of the owners they should be aware and see if this is a regular occurrence. The incident was very very noisy and quite scary and it was 1am before they all left. Although no fault of the owners another disappointment is the closure of the pub The Crown in the village of Aberffraw making Rhosneiger the nearest place to eat. Overall we don’t think the cottage was particularly good value for money and we wouldn’t return which is a big pity. With some minor tweaks here and there this could be a great place to get away too.

It's such a beautiful place to stay and the cottage is very comfortable. We are keen cyclist and walkers and the routes for both take in some stunning scenery. The sink in the bathroom drains very slowly and there's never enough hot water to have a bath, but the shower is amazing.
