    Holyhead Holiday Cottages

Holyhead is a busy port town on Holy Island, just off the coast of the Isle of Anglesey. The port is famous for being one of the busiest ferry ports connecting Wales to Ireland. Holyhead is a great destination for sailing, watersports and fishing. Holy Island is well worth exploring, with beautiful scenery and fascinating wildlife. If you want to venture outside Holyhead, Anglesey Island is close by and a ferry across to Dublin only takes about an hour and a half.

All of our stunning Welsh properties are chosen for their charm and character. We have comfortable barn conversions for large groups of friends, and secluded cabins with private hot tubs for romantic getaways. Families love our open-plan farmhouses, which are great bases for a family adventure. We also have dog-friendly cottages with secure gardens, right next to great walking routes.

At Snaptrip, we list thousands of holiday cottages in the UK, all backed by our best price guarantee. Use our search filters to find the ideal cottage for you, or get in touch with our friendly customer service team to discuss your requirements. Whether you want to soak up the atmosphere of Holyhead or explore the local maritime and heritage museums, we can help you book the right property.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jordan - Verified booking

This is without question the bast place in the UK we have ever stayed.

The property was immaculately clean, was situated in a fantastic location, and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Just perfect for the type of holiday we wanted. There are lots of lovely walks about, several small beaches near and close to some great sightseeing locations. Plus, although you feel like you’re literally in the middle of nowhere, you’re less than a 15 minutes drive from Holyhead with every shop and amenity you could need, so forgetting something or taking everything you’ll need for your stay isn’t a problem. The property was completely clean, and although might not look it with the open spaces, really comfy and cosy of an evening. The open plan upstairs is great for small families and you’re treated to fantastic view from where ever you’re sitting. I’m really missing enjoying breakfast looking over the gorgeous scenic hills You can really tell that Sam, the host, has a passion for making peoples holiday special. Her attention to detail is brilliant, and she had just the right level of contact as to ensure your holiday and the property is okay, but nottoo much as to be overbearing. She was even so nice when our toddler caused a small breakage, only charging us for the replacement item, and not any additional breakage charged. Anglesey has become a firm favourite of mine, and although I do like staying in different properties each visit, I will struggle to not want to come back here, and will probably base my next visit to the isle around the availability of this property.

We had a lovely stay over the half term week.

Anwen and family were great hosts and really welcoming. We are a family of four with two daughters (nearly 10 and 4) and the caravan was ideal for us. It is reasonably priced, the beds are comfy, the shower is great, cooker works well etc but the absolute best bits are the views. On a clear day (and we had several even in February) there are lovely views down to the sea and over the hills. The little covered seating area to the side of the caravan is great too (although probably better in the warmer months). Once we had found it, which was our only difficulty all week, we had no complaints whatsoever and would love to go back.

Ysbryd y Mynydd is a fabulous property!

It was everything the listing said it would be and much more! The location is perfect for a relaxing get away, with sea views from the generous sized garden. The decked area was fab for al fresco dining and had lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The hot tub was a huge bonus and enabled us to wind down and feel completely relaxed. The property has been beautifully finished with attention to detail throughout. Very clean, spacious and everything you could possibly need is provided. Last but not least, the owner is the most welcoming and friendly host you could wish for. We will definitely be back next time we visit Anglesey.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Nyth Y Wennol in October.

Sian and Steve were incredibly welcoming and helpful, but gave us our own space and privacy. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished and decorated with everything you could need. The bed is very comfy, the cottage was lovely and warm and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The living room is a lovely cosy space with a good-sized TV and a little fire which we didn’t actually need to use due to the underfloor heating. The bathroom is really luxurious with a huge bath and a powerful shower. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Anglesey. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home.

This is the nicest caravan we have ever stayed in.

Immaculately clean, comfortable, and well equipped . Lovely owner, who provided excellent communication and introduction...thank you. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings, with beautiful views. Peace and quiet, and privacy. Surrounded by nature. We had the company of a hare, ducks, a multitude of birds and amazingly, saw the Barn Owl! Fantastic area with lanes full of flowers and fields of livestock. We loved Cemaes, Cemlyn, and Penrhos Country Park. Lunch at Wavecrest Cafe, sitting in the sun, was memorable. It was hard to leave, and we have already booked to go back
