What our customers say about their holidays

We liked the tasteful design and high specification of Tower House. We are great fans of a Super Kingsize bed so tend to ignore those that don’t have them. Obviously to convey that information, the website requires plenty of good photos and a detailed description of what is on offer and that is what yours achieved. The information provided at the house was first class: full, informative and well-presented.  The welcome basket covered all bases. Good variety of products. After an eight hour drive the wine and beer were a nice touch! Bread and butter is a must, and also milk. Chocolate and biscuits went the extra mile. Sometimes you can get a welcome basket where the cheapest of everything has been provided: this was the opposite.  We really liked the high specification of the decor, fixture and fittings. White company towels and toiletries; Denby kitchen ware. Comfortable beds. Good quality bathroom fittings.  We have been visiting high spec cottages in the UK for at least ten years and this was the BEST YET.  Oh and this was the first time we have received a follow-up call after we arrived to ensure all was okay: that was a nice touch!

We recently booked a mini break with Coquet cottages and stayed in Sea Gem in Amble. Booking was so easy to do online. The house itself is in a great location, very quiet. Easy to walk into the village and to the harbour. The house is excellent, very high standard with attention to detail and all the cooking utensils an appliances you can imagine . We had a lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival. It contained the usual tea/coffee there were also some local delights for us to sample with Gin as an added bonus! We were very pleased with it all, everything was clean and tidy and we felt safe during these strange times we loved it so much we have booked to go again. The folder containing the information of the surrounding areas, restaurants, things to do etc was excellent and although we had no need to contact anyone as everything was perfect Sally-Anne Text us to say she was on hand had we needed anything. I can highly recommend this place, it was fabulous and am already looking forward to my next visit.

I recently stayed in Tower House in Warkworth for a weekend with friends, 6 of us in all. The location is perfect, directly opposite Warkworth Castle and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and pubs. The house is tastefully decorated and charming. The rooms are of a good proportion, plenty of space for all of us with three good sized bedrooms, a beautiful family bathroom with a roll-top bath, and a lovely en-suite. We were greeted by a lovely welcome hamper and fresh flowers on the windowsill. We spent our first night relaxing in front of the log burner and our second night we had a meal at a local restaurant. The house was lovely and warm throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend Coquet Cottages they have lots of beautiful properties.

Thank you so much, we have really enjoyed your beautiful cottage! It has really felt like a home from home, made even more so by the very thoughtful touches you’ve included throughout, to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Our ten year old son has learn how to light and stoke a fire (under supervision!!) and we have spent many evenings cosying up in front of the fire, chatting about all the things we’ve been up to that day. Our highlights have included our walk along Hadrian’s wall to Sycamore Gap, walks in Hulme park in Alnwick, Cragside National Trust in Rothbury and a sunset walk on Alnmouth beach. A brilliant holiday we will never forget. Many thank!

We’ve had a great holiday in and around Amble which we think is a lovely place. Lots is going on in the area and people are very friendly. We loved wandering around the harbour and also sitting watching what was going on from the cottage both indoors and outdoors. The Alba is a beautiful place to stay with everything you need and more, designed beautifully, and I can imagine it being really cosy in the autumn/winter months too. This was our first visit to Northumberland, but definitely won’t be our last, we also had good weather which is obviously a bonus!
