We stayed in Amble last week at Cobble Quay. The house we had there was called Quay West. It is a fantastic property, with plenty of space and super views of the Marina too. There was a Welcome Pack waiting for us and, to put it simply, it was the best one we have ever received at ANY house we have rented. Everything had been thought of, which made settling in fast and hassle free. Thank you very much to the property owner. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took us over the house showing us where everything was and how it worked. The house is only 200 yards from the nearest shops and amenities. Radcliffe’s Bistro is literally next to the property and is well worth a visit and not expensive either. Fantastic fixtures and fittings in the house, they were tasteful and high quality. Warm, comfortable beds and there was even a hot tub on the balcony, which was great for sitting in and watching the sun go down at night. You really should take a look at this property if you plan to visit Amble. There is nothing negative to report about this house. There is even a lift to help you get all your baggage up to the second floor. They have thought of everything. We will definitely be back again .We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Thank you to the Owner.

Although Quay West was so new that it didn’t have a full complement of photographs, we were referred to another of the owner’s apartments to see the quality of accommodation that we could expect at Quay West. We were not disappointed. The apartment was amazing from the view overlooking the marina towards Warkworth Castle to the high quality linen and kitchen appliances. I could happily live there! We loved the attention to detail that included a lemon for a G&T and torches in the bedside drawers. The generous welcome pack contained local preserves, coffee, home made scones and shortbread that was divine! The apartment was far more spacious than the photos suggested, which is always a nice surprise. All three bedrooms were very spacious and very well appointed. The hot tub on the balcony was a great, weather proof way to watch the comings and goings on the marina. It was the perfect place to chill out. We can’t wait to return.

A beautiful apartment with amazing views over the harbour. Very cosy! All fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the kitchen is well equipped. The en-suite shower is particularly helpful to those of us who find step-up showers tricky. The lift meant I could easily enjoy the views without concerns about stairs. No parking concerns as a dedicated space. Helpful comprehensive digital booklet provided by Coquet Cottages. I appreciated the telephone contact. I didn’t have any issues or concerns but that would have been useful if I had. I appreciate how Coquet Cottages has handled the unusual situation caused by the pandemic. I booked in 2019 for March 2020, deferred till winter 2020, took a refund then booked again. I finally made it! At all stages company staff were helpful and proactive despite the workload aggravated by changes in COVID guidance.

We had the most amazing stay at Revilo Lookout 24-26 Jan to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday. We traveled during storm Eowyn which was gale for winds but it didn’t spoil our trip. On arrival everything outside was secured which I was pleased about. We were welcomed with a hamper which was packed full of treats for our stay and a lovely bottle of red wine and Prosecco. The fridge had milk, butter, cheese and fresh orange juice in which was such a lovely touch which makes all the difference. The accommodation was beautiful, very well kept and immaculately clean. We made use of the hot tub on the Saturday once the storm had passed and the binoculars and telescope came in handy for stargazing at night with a clear sky. We had a wonderful weekend just laughing and catching up, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

A wonderful property, good value as it lacked for nothing. It was new, and had excellent views over the marina and was very close to the sea. It also had a Hot tub (which we used each day) and was an additional fun bonus. It was a great holiday. Because we had such good weather, we didn’t use all the facilities such as smart TVs in all bedrooms, but was good to know they were there! We were also impressed when we called into the office in Warkworth and asked for help in locating the burgages we’d seen on a television programme. The young woman was very pleasant and helpful, bringing up an aerial view of Warkworth on TV so we could locate them, also pointing out a useful walks, which we would never have noticed ourselves.
