What our customers are saying about our Dog Friendly Cottages In Alnwick To Rent.
- Mr Poole, September 2018 - verified booking
"The main bed was extremely comfortable (there was just the 2 of us) although the other bedrooms were nicely kitted out also - The cottage was fitted to a very high standard throughout and spotlessly clean - A proper home from home. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of equipment and utensils and the sitting room was lovely to sit in at nice recovering from our long walks with a lovely TV and fireplace - We also appreciate the Utility area for that extra storage. A truly faultless stay. The location of the property was also very good a mere 5-minute walk to the main centre of Alnwick which was full of history and with nice places to shop and eat additionally if you are travelling around the coast it is well placed you can get to the main places by car in around 30- 40 mins and there are also good bus services available I believe (we had a car). We will definitely be back to stay again."

"There had been high winds the day before our arrival but windows had been left open and there was debris everywhere including all over the beds. Not a good impression and the cottage was freezing cold. There were two refrigerators. The integral one didn't work but the 2nd one did. A note should have been left to say the integral one didn't work. The hot water tank was very small and therefore we couldn't get enough hot water. The taps in the kitchen were EXTREMELY hard to turn on and off. Anyone with arthritis in their hands would not have been able to operate them. The owner knew about this but had not rectified it. The towels were small and very thin. I would have thrown them away long ago."

"The cottage is located on a working farm not far outside Alnwick with its tourist attractions and local amenities. As the name suggests the views from the cottage over to the Cheviot Hills are stunning. Unfortunately the cottage itself is not as attractive as the pictures make out (they only show the back which is gorgeous stone and not the front which is pebble dash). The front access area is shared with the next door cottage although there is a private lawned garden to the side and rear. Internally the cottage it well equipped and comfortable enough although is perhaps a bit 'tired'. We received a warm welcome from the owners who live on the farm."

"There was an excellent welcome hamper and the owners had gone to every effort to make sure you were comfortable with extra pillows etc. if needed. We were particularly impressed with the equipment available in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed the local area and the town centre was only a short give minute walk away and we were also within walking distance of the castle and gardens. It was also only a short drive from the coastal villages of Alnmouth and Seahouses. We would definitely recommend this cottage."

"a very rudimentary base in a run-down courtyard, no views of the wonderful landscape. breeze blocks and plastic plant pot with rubbish in it by the front door. Walls thin, so you can hear an alarm clock next door; equipment thin - including worn, cheap teflon-like pan. Dirty windows, supposedly cleaned once a month. Cobwebs, shower leak into kitchen. Sofa and armchair have hardly any stuffing. Bed linen was however good, and we enjoyed the area immensely, having accepted that the cottage was simply a base."
