You’re just 100 metres from a cosy pub, with independent shops, restaurants, tea rooms and a quirky second-hand bookshop within 0.5 miles, along with Alnwick Castle and the famous Alnwick Garden and Treehouses. Further afield, visit Bamburgh (17.5 miles) with its dramatic castle, or spend afternoons on Warkworth’s sandy beach (7.5 miles). Go south to reach Alnmouth (4.5 miles) for its lively pubs, or Amble (9 miles) for a stroll around the harbour. To the north, you’ll find Craster (7 miles), best known for its kipper smokehouse.
