Guests say

Potters Pad is praised for its excellent location and cleanliness, with guests appreciating its proximity to Alnwick's amenities and secure accommodation. The property offers comfortable bedrooms and a good-sized living area, with some outdoor space. However, there are mentions of minor maintenance issues and a need for better attention to detail.

The property is generally described as clean and secure. However, one review mentioned a dirty fridge and saucepan, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The location is consistently highlighted as great, central, and convenient for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding areas, with private parking being a notable advantage.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While some guests found the accommodation comfortable, others noted issues with the bed and the heat due to limited windows, indicating that comfort could be enhanced.

Facilities are adequate with mentions of good-sized rooms and a lovely shower. However, several reviews point out maintenance issues such as slow-draining plumbing, missing coffee machine, and outdoor area upkeep, suggesting a need for better facilities management.

While some guests were disappointed with the welcome pack, there is not enough information to determine if this is a consistent issue across all stays. As such, it is politely noted that gifts are not guaranteed and the score is set to null due to insufficient data.

Great location, comfortable and very clean and secure accommodation. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again - thanks

This flat is really central for Alnwick and easy access to the surrounding coast and countryside of Northumberland, however it is let down by a lack of attention to detail. The bed needs some attention - very thin mattress and so creaky and noisy every time someone moves. Batteries in the remote for the tv in the bedroom were not working. It is worth mentioning that the twin room doesn’t have an external window and looks out into the passage way of the building. The plumbing isn’t great which is a shame as the shower and bath are great, but draining takes forever ! Whilst is was nice to have direct access to an outside area this was tatty with planters full of weeds and grass and the furniture been in poor condition, looking like you would fall through if you sat on it. The welcome pack consisted of a single brown sauce sachet, three dishwasher tablets, 4 sachets of Nescafé coffee, two single packs of basic biscuits and washing up stuff. Very very random and so disappointing not to have at least a pint of milk in the fridge for late arrival. Despite stating there was a coffee machine we couldn’t find one, pan handles are lose and salt and pepper pots are empty. It is literally the small stuff that differentiates this property from many others we have stayed in, in Alnwick in general, but also in the Maltings development. Disappointing stay.

I booked this accommodation before I had read recent reviews which had not been very complimentary. Accordingly I expected to be disappointed on arrival but as things turned out I needn't have worried.Plumbing in the bathroom does, I think, need some attention as both bath and whb are very very slow to drain. Personally I didn't find the double bed specially comfortable but my wife took the opposite view. It does though creak quite loudly (enough to cool one's ardour if sharing the apartment with another couple or children. All that said there was nothing that would stop me booking again.
