Potters Pad is praised for its excellent central location in Alnwick, making it a convenient base for exploring the town and surrounding areas. Guests appreciate the secure parking, spacious layout, and modern amenities. Many found the accommodation clean and comfortable, with quick responses to maintenance issues. Some guests noted minor issues with the beds, plumbing, and outdoor area, and several mentioned that the welcome pack was minimal. Overall, the property offers a pleasant stay with easy access to local attractions.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy on arrival, though a few reported issues such as a dirty fridge, saucepan, and oven tray, as well as a damp smell under the sink. The majority of reviews, however, describe the accommodation as very clean.
The location is consistently highlighted as a major strength, with guests appreciating its central position in Alnwick, proximity to amenities, and ease of access to the coast and countryside.
Guests generally found the accommodation comfortable and spacious, but several mentioned issues with the double bed being creaky or too firm, and the twin room lacking an external window. Most still enjoyed their stay despite these minor discomforts.
The property is well-equipped with modern amenities and private parking, but some guests noted maintenance issues such as slow-draining plumbing, missing coffee machine, and worn outdoor furniture. Quick resolution of maintenance requests was appreciated.
Several guests were disappointed by the minimal welcome pack, which included only a few sachets of coffee and cleaning items, and noted the absence of milk or tea. While some properties may offer more generous gifts, these are not guaranteed.

Lovely apartment in a great location. The shower wasn't working properly but one phone call to Cottages.com and it was sorted the same day. Great and quick service so I would definitely recommend. The only niggle with the apartment, and it is only a minor issue, was the bed. It was the creakiest bed we've ever slept in.We would definitely return to Potters Pad for another wonderful holiday.

The accommodation is in an ideal place for touring the north east coast and is in a lovely situation in the town. The accommodation is comfortable and suited the two of us. The mattress on the double bed is a bit thin and hard for my taste but my friend said the single bed was fine. We had a good time but it is the small things that would have made us feel more welcome. For example if we had arrived late we would not have been able to have a cup of tea. Having stayed in cottages before there has always been a pint of milk in the fridge and a welcome pack with at least tea and coffee plus more often other goodies. The welcome pack consisted of a few single coffee packs (no tea) and cleaning stuff- a green pot cleaner some dishwasher tablets and jay cloth! We had to buy a kitchen roll as the one there was finished except one piece. Also just one toilet roll for a week for two people. It just felt not very welcoming and people need to be told if they have to bring toilet rolls and kitchen roll.
