Guests say

Potters Pad offers a superb location in Alnwick, making it an excellent base for exploring the town and Northumberland. Guests appreciate the secure parking, spacious layout, and dog-friendly environment. While many found the accommodation comfortable and well-equipped, some noted minor maintenance issues and felt the welcome provisions could be improved. Overall, the property is praised for its convenience and cleanliness, with most guests enjoying their stay.

Several guests found the property very clean and comfortable, but a few reported issues such as a dirty fridge, unclean kitchenware, and a lingering pet smell. Most reviews, however, indicate a generally good standard of cleanliness.

The location is consistently praised as central, quiet, and ideal for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding area. Private parking and proximity to amenities are highlighted as major positives.

Guests found the accommodation spacious and generally comfortable, but several mentioned issues with the beds being too firm or creaky, and the twin room lacking an external window. Most still found it suitable for a pleasant stay.

The property is described as well-equipped, with good kitchen and lounge facilities. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as slow-draining plumbing, missing or broken items, and outdoor furniture in poor condition.

While some basic welcome items were provided, several guests were disappointed by the lack of a more generous welcome pack, such as milk or tea. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed and may vary.

The accommodation is in an ideal place for touring the north east coast and is in a lovely situation in the town. The accommodation is comfortable and suited the two of us. The mattress on the double bed is a bit thin and hard for my taste but my friend said the single bed was fine. We had a good time but it is the small things that would have made us feel more welcome. For example if we had arrived late we would not have been able to have a cup of tea. Having stayed in cottages before there has always been a pint of milk in the fridge and a welcome pack with at least tea and coffee plus more often other goodies. The welcome pack consisted of a few single coffee packs (no tea) and cleaning stuff- a green pot cleaner some dishwasher tablets and jay cloth! We had to buy a kitchen roll as the one there was finished except one piece. Also just one toilet roll for a week for two people. It just felt not very welcoming and people need to be told if they have to bring toilet rolls and kitchen roll.

Ideal location with parking. Apartment was well equipped and supermarket across the way for any supplies needed. Lots of places to eat in or take away. No traffic noise and in the summer the patio would be lovely. Would recommend
