What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Helsington To Rent.

"The house could do with a thorough clean. On the face of it it looks clean, but it could do with furniture moving and vacuuming thoroughly and the kitchen given a good clean, the cupboard fronts were a bit greasy and dirty. The heating thermostat was not user friendly. I would replace it with a dial where you can turn the heating down or off. I am a woman of a certain age and found it awfully hot and had to turn radiators off, however as the thermostat was stuck on 21 degrees the boiler kept going trying to get the room up to 21. A terrible waste of gas. We have stopped as this property for many years snd the bathroom light switch is still in need of replacing. Having said all this we do love our stays."

"Had a great time in Keswick. S70343 is well equipped and a great base in Keswick. The only issues we had are:1. My elderly, but still mobile, father in law suggested that the hand rail on the stairs leading to the first floor should be on the other side and similar to the one on the second set of stairs. This would greatly help people with reduced mobility in getting up and down the stairs.2. The heating/water timer in the main bedroom on the 2nd floor was broken and constantly "on". It made a noise that made it difficult to sleep at night. This was replaced on the 5th day of our holiday after we reported it to the office. It would have been nice for it to have been sorted out sooner."

"Well equipped house in great location close to supermarket and bus station. Disappointed with cleanliness particularly the kitchen which I cleaned on arrival. Cutlery drawer had lots of dust & debris in it and cupboard doors were grubby. Thick dust on the edge of bedroom windows. Nevertheless the house was warm & comfortable. The bus service s excellent particularly during summer months from Easter to October and a car is not necessary. Shower was sometimes a bit temperamental and went cold unexpectedly. Think boiler required a service rather than just a safety check! However we would stay again."

"Our 3rd visit and a very good base for getting to Keswick Convention destinations as well as starting and finishing walks and the lake. Being slightly below ground level, you don't get any decent views, but not important to us and, actually, pleasantly cool during the recent heat wave. The cleanliness and facilities were up to the usual high standards and the designated parking slot is a treasured bonus in a town with a chronic shortage of parking spaces next to holiday homes. We will, probably, be going again next year."

"Traffic noise all day , cars stopping outside all day to visit the post office two doors down. The local shop was a joke nothing on the shelf’s , and the fish and chip well our dog enjoyed the fish ,the chips went in the bin . This has been the the worst holiday accommodation we have stayed in for years . Also the washing machine was in the bathroom, right in front of the toilet which made it hard to sit on the toilet .Value for money no it wasn’t and we will not return if you offer it for free ."
