Nearby attractions and landmarks include the Aira Force Waterfall (9 miles), the magnificent lake of Ullswater (7 miles), Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens (7 miles), Lowther Castle and Gardens (12 miles) and the beautiful Tarn Moss National Nature Reserve (5 miles). There are miles of memorable walks and cycle trails throughout the area, with the Mell Fells nearby (8 miles). The bustling town of Penrith (6.5 miles) has a great range of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Originally a 17th century granary, before being converted into an artist s studio, the property now makes a cosy and welcoming holiday cottage. Entering the property, the light and relaxing lounge provides a wonderful space for you to unwind in. Featuring plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, sumptuous textiles and antique furniture, the lounge is perfect for snuggling up in at the end of a fabulous day out. There s even a grand piano for budding pianists. The lounge also has a sofa bed please request at time of booking. Exploring further, the fresh and attractive kitchen/diner is perfect for preparing and sharing your favourite family meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob and washing machine. The ground floor is also home to a shower room complete with shower and WC. Open tread stairs with a rope handrail lead up to the bedroom where you will find exposed beams, antique furniture and two comfortable beds: one king size and a single. Outside, you are welcome to explore the extensive gardens and grounds of the estate. The gardens are perfect for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, or you can discover the shared grounds which feature a summer house with beautiful views, woodland for your canine companions to enjoy, and a walled orchard with apples, damsons, quinces and medlars. Housing a working farm, the estate also has a number of pigs, and you will also find pheasants, chickens and ducks roaming about. Need to know: 1 family bedroom with king size and additional single bed which can be made up on request. Ground floor shower room with shower and WC. Dishwasher, fridge, fan oven, halogen hob, washing machine. Biomass central heating. Smart TV, grand piano. Wi Fi included. Extensive shared gardens with walled orchard and woodland. 4 dogs welcome free of charge. Ample off road parking. Pub 1.5 miles.
