A traditional 18th Century cottage with modern comforts throughout.
Brimming with character in the way of timber beams and exposed stone walls, this fabulous Cornish cottage is situated in a quiet spot on the River Hayle with access to brilliant walking routes. Escape with your loved one to this welcoming holiday home, a superb romantic retreat.
Enter this cottage and find yourself in the beautiful open-plan living space. An exposed stone chimney breast contains an electric fire so you can warm up on the comfortable armchairs as you watch a film on the Smart TV. To the other end of the room is a practical kitchen and a two-seater dining table, perfect for romantic evening meals. When you are ready for some shuteye, head upstairs and find a bright and colourful dual-aspect bedroom offering superb countryside views. The bedroom has plenty of storage and a small double bed, and adjacent is the property’s shower room. Outside is a fabulous garden filled with tropical plants. Dine alfresco under the stars on the outdoor table and seating.
St Erth is a quiet village with a handy shop and a pub within 100 metres, so you can pick up all the essentials you need or dine out of an evening. There are tons of public footpaths from here along the river or through the countryside. If you prefer days by the beach, visit the fabulous sandy shores of Hayle (3 miles), or head to the bustling town of Penzance (7 miles) and the beaches that run around the bay. Visit the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount (4 miles), home to a historic castle and gardens you can peruse.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook. The cottage was lovingly furnished and had everything we needed for two people. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean and the bedroom was cosy and quiet. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, there was even a welcome gift. The location is quiet and idyllic with a beautiful garden where you could have sat very well in slightly higher temperatures than in October. We recommend this accommodation.

This property is really is cozy. It was set back off the street, so slightly difficult to find at first until we re-read the directions document. Such a beautiful place with everything you need and such lovely facilities. The garden was stunning, if only we had a bit more sun for a BBQ. There was a small amount of milk in the fridge so you can have 5 minutes sit down and a cuppa after the long drive or a glass of bubbly if you were staying in. Only slight complaint was that the internet could have been better but poor signal could have been due to the location. We could have stayed another week, loved it!
