What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In St. Just To Rent.

"The cottage is a converted farm building, very old and full of character. (We both banged our head on the low door despite being warned!) The property has obviously had a lot of thought and planning and was well equipped. There was something indefinably odd the week we stayed; we were not welcomed by anyone (the key was in the door) and on the few occasions we did encounter anyone in the week they ignored us rather than spoke to us - surprising for a working farm. Did we visit on the owner's holiday? We were left a bottle of wine, but there was no milk and no tea bags and one toilet roll. Oh, and the fridge icebox was not working - just a note that the farmer would store frozen food for us - but who and where was the farmer? So good, and we would stay again, but we speculated on the odd set up all week - it gave us something to talk about. The area is brilliant with spectacular coastal scenery and many walks - recommended. And we saw Captain Poldark as they were filming on the coastal path that week."

"We had an amazing stay at Kestrels. We were looking for a secluded Cornish cottage for a romantic holiday, away from the buzz of the city. Kestrels did not disappoint. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout, comfortable and well equipped (we were able to use the bbq and outdoor dining area), it felt like we were staying in a "boutique" hotel. The cottage offers nice views all round, lots of stunning coastal walks and places to visit within a few miles drive (St Just, Cape Cornwall, Lands End, Sennen Cove, Minnack theatre and Porthcurno beach, Mousehole, St Ives, Penzance). There was lots to do and explore in a week. It is set in a hamlet of 5 houses, so quite an isolated and very quiet location but this was perfect for us. Our hosts provided useful advice on where to shop for fresh seafood and Cornish specialities, and good restaurants in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and can't wait to be back."

"My husband and I arrived to find mouldy windows, carpets and ceilings. Ceiling leaks from the roof flashings. Leaks from the shower unit causing dreadful stains on the bathroom skirting board. A stained bed sheet that was not replaced until day 4 of the holiday. A light fitting with no light bulb and a ceiling light with no lamp shade. A broken clothes airer and a sponge mop with hardly any sponge left on it, therefore useless. I have a number of photo images that I had to forward to the owner identifying the problems. The housekeeper had to visit the property five times during our two week holiday to address issues that could not be left until the end of our two week stay. The issues were totally unnaceptable and we would not stay at this property again. I am seriously considering putting details of the experience and photos on Trip advisor!"

"We have just spent a lovely week in west Cornwall staying at the delightful Up Over Head. The owners are very friendly and the location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the beautiful rugged coastline and old mining areas. The property is good value given the time I booked and bank holiday weekend. It takes less than half an hour to get to St Ives and Penzance so you are well connected but at the same time well away from all the crowds. The short walk from the solid granite farmhouse to the stunning cliffs is a bonus and the property was well maintained. The bed was very comfy and clean. As well as eating out we were able to cook roast chicken in the oven and found the facilities perfect for a young couple. The steep stairs and low door frames might be a bit challenging if you are very tall! Hope you have a great stay."

"The cottage is a very good size, especially for 2 people. It was bigger than we thought from the description and photos. When you enter from the street there is a good sized living area, then there is a modern shower room and toilet and a very well-equipped and good-sized kitchen/diner. It made a pleasant change from many holiday rentals to have matching crockery and cutlery. Through the kitchen there is a 'sun room' so there are two separate sitting areas. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is a good size with a comfortable bed and nice bed linen. The garden is fully enclosed and dog proof. The cottage is quiet. Would definitely recommend. Only possible issue could be parking close to the cottage at a busier time of year, but we visited in November and could always park close to the cottage."
