What our customers say about their holidays

Absolutely fabulous cottage full of character and charm, in a wonderful location. Many places of interest on the Lizard Peninsular within a few minutes drive. Cottage was extremely spacious, comfortable and clean. everything you needed for your self catering holiday. Added to which was a good size garden with outside seating and a BBQ so plenty of space to relax and dine outside. The hamper was fabulous, the home made lemon drizzle cake was very moreish and wine was very welcome. The setting was idyllic, having access to the Bonython Estate outside of opening hours was a real bonus with many a pleasant morning and evening walks on estate. The Estate Grounds are absolutely beautiful and really enjoyed listening to the Barn and Tawny Owls in the night. We were scheduled to holiday on the Isles of Scilly, but Covid 19 resulted in us having to change our plans and this was a real find, so in this strange world we are in, this was a positive. It was an absolute pleasure to be welcomed to the cottage by 'Tara' the owners dog who visited everyday on her daily rounds. Certainly will be booking again on the estate and cottage are just so beautiful.

This is a lovely cottage. The living area is very comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished. The outside of the cottage is quite charming and the garden is very pleasant. A delightful and exciting feature of the garden is that you can open the gate and find yourself in the beautiful grounds of a fine country estate. The welcome hamper was indeed welcoming, containing homemade items, which were all excellent, particularly the lemon cake! There are some areas that could be improved. While the en-suite bathroom was very modern, the other bathroom is rather dated. The mattresses in the twin room could do with being replaced by some better quality ones and the knives in the kitchen need sharpening. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent cottage in which to unwind and it is in a great location.

Overall, a spacious, comfortable, quite well equipped cottage in a secluded yet reasonably convenient location midway between Helston and Lizard with limited outside space and no view but free access to lovely estate gardens. Furnishings are essentially fine but the electric Mira showers are rather pathetic and the mattresses on the beds in the twin room feel tired and are not comfortable. The wood stove in the sitting room needs better ventilation as it won't stay alight unless loaded up with rather too much wood. Only occasional helicopter noise (Culdrose is just up the road)but otherwise the only sound is birdsong and wind in the trees. This comment box is annoying because as soon as you start to type your text disappears from sight below your keypad - at least it does on an iPad.

St. Corantyn’s is a great place to stay while exploring Cornwall. It’s a tiny bit secluded, so VERY quiet and extremely comfortable. The lovely Bonython gardens are attached which makes for peaceful walks in the evening. The cottage is kept to a very high standard and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan (the owners) along with Tamara (the housekeeper) are very friendly, responsive and helpful. The welcome basket was sumptuous - my husband tells me the lemon drizzle cake was luscious! The beds are very cozy and comfortable and the sitting room is perfect for relaxing and watching TV (or reading - we do wish there had been at least one more floor lamp). Overall, we loved our 5 days there and would return without hesitation.
