Great host. Very helpful. A property we all wanted to like. Ground floor showers let it down badly. Small en suites. Shower cubicles far too small. Really struggled whilst showering. These could also benefit from more hooks and shelves. Garden furniture cushions left outside. Consequently dirty and damp. This restricted our use of the patio overlooking the meadow. Also the seats by the river were unusable for the same reasons. We suggested a cushion box outside for storage. Suggest you stop chickens going onto the back patio. They left 'their mark' and we all trod this into the house. We all felt 'unsafe' crossing the bridge by car. It moved whilst crossing. We understand this bridge is being replaced. Outside area would benefit from some love and care. Bit scruffy. Dead plants in pots, weeds growing etc. Could hear noise from the industrial estate, but nothing can be done about that. Could be a great house to stay in, but we would return only if these items were attended to..

This is a beautiful cottage, superbly well kept with a garden and patio which were an absolute delightful advantage in the wonderful weather that we enjoyed during our stay. Had the weather been rubbish the cottage would still have been fantastic. We had the warmest of welcomes when we arrived and it was a pleasure to chat with our host/neighbour when our paths crossed. Trevor's unintrusive hospitality is exactly what is needed to enhance a cottage break. Whilst we were there, the electricity went off and he did everything he could (and a bit more) to get it fixed. This place definitely deserves the 5 stars we experienced 'rural retreaters' give it.

We had a fantastic stay at Riverside Farm Cottage! The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Its is also very well equipped so a perfect home from home. The host was lovely and the welcome gifts were very gratefully received. The cottage is well situated, a short walk into the local village and easy access to the main road so days out to places like Scarborough are very easy. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing time at Riverside Farm Cottage. Trevor is an excellent host who went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely holiday from providing a wonderful welcome hamper to lending us his own bike! The house was spacious, clean and comfortable as well as very accessible for my 89 year old grandparents, which was essential for us. I’d recommend a stay to anyone looking for a relaxing break with friends/family!

Everything was perfect.... the house accommodated our family of eight beautifully. The host was so welcoming and extremely generous with the welcome hamper. The house was well equipped, spacious and well situated: ideal setting for the NY moors. The immediate location was scenic and full of nature eg owls and kingfishers. Highly recommend.
