      We have just come back from a fabulous week in the North York Moors this October. Woodhead Farm Cottage was everything we needed and more. We booked the property to go to a family wedding at Danby Castle and then stayed for the whole week. The cottage was perfect for us, 8 adults and 2 children. Warm and comfortable. Lovely beds and enough bathrooms for everyone. Large spacious kitchen, so easy to self cater. The lounge and huge settee were a welcome space to relax after days out. Beautiful views across Fryup Dale, sunrise over the hills with a morning cup of tea to the sound of the cows and chickens, bliss. Wi-Fi was great which was good because no mobile signal.

      The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully fitted out. It is quite remote, but ideal for fit walkers. We booked it for a family reunion to bring together my brother from Australia, myself, my daughter and grandaughter from Spain, our stepsister from Derbyshire and our cousins, who are more local and we really had a grand time. The cooking arrangements were perfect, the TV room ideal for chilling out, Plenty of games were available and some of the party really enjoyed the pool table. The beds were comfortable and in all the decor was delightful. Thankyou for a super stay!

      Lovely cottage in a perfect peaceful setting with lovely views. One of the best areas to stay as close to the scenic moors, steam railway and British Rail line with station conveniently in the next village of Danby, Whitby and coastal resorts. Excellent food at the Fox & Hounds in the village. They even reserved us a couple of roast dinners for the Sunday evening. Unfortunately our week was spoilt slightly by atrocious weather but we made the best of it on the two good weather days. Memorable trip on the Nth Yorks railway from Grosmont to Pickering. Saltburn also worth a visit.

      Excellent property in a secluded area with only the sounds of the countryside to be heard…..with the exception of our grandchildren enjoying spending time in the enclosed garden. Cottage was well equipped for our party of 8 adults and two small children. Trips to the coast within 30-40 minute drive and beautiful countryside walks. Comfy beds and plenty of space for the whole family to chill for the week. We loved every minute and being alongside a working farm meant the children could get up close to chickens, cows and sheep.

      A very lovely property with outstanding views in a beautiful setting, and a lot of thought given by the owners to comfort and facilities, as well as all the quality ornaments and decorative touches which made the cottage a real home, rather than a "rental". The cottage is spacious, yet always warm and cosy in mid-winter. The living-room seating is ideal for a large group to relax and chat, or watch tv.
