      We have enjoyed coming to Binkleys Cottage in Silpho for many years. It is a beautiful old cottage with the most wonderful garden and all modern conveniences such as dish washer, wet room and kind personal touches such as flowers and biscuits on arrival. It is the perfect spot from which to explore the North Yorkshire coast and countryside and if it is raining you can relax in the sun room which overlooks the garden and its magnificent views. It feels such a gift to be able to stay in a cottage with beams and art work of the local area. It must be a complete original! We always return home refreshed from our holiday and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

      Binkley’s cottage in Silpho is a perfect location for the beautiful Yorkshire coast, moors, forest and dales. There is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere with everything you could possibly want in the cottage. There are kind, welcoming touches on arrival. It is truly unspoilt, but with all the modern conveniences. There is a characterful conservatory and a beautiful garden with the most spectacular views you have ever seen, enjoyed also by the birds, particularly the swallows. Plenty of parking and welcoming to pets. The cottage is very much in keeping with its location particularly in its lovely paintings. The minute we leave Binkley’s we wish we were back there!

      Fab cottage with an amazing garden which is very safe for dogs. Ours loved the garden and there are lots of different places to sit and enjoy it and the views over the countryside. Chairs comfortable in the house. Bathroom downstairs but excellent in all ways. Bed’s comfy. Kitchen very good with lots of equipment. Had to take own towels but that was ok as knew beforehand. Off the beaten track but that meant very quiet location and great to see so many stars on a clear night. Close to Scarborough and Whitby. We are definitely returning next year! One of the best all round cottages we have stayed in.

      We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Dovecote Cottage.

      Everything was as it should be and the bathroom was exeptional with a large shower aand hot water piped in from the heating system so reliably hot. The only slight drawback for us was that we had not realised the location was as remote as it was, ie being too far out to take a walk out in the evening and maybe called in at a local hostelry! We also had a couple of evenings where the TV reception was dire but were given to understand that it was due to the high pressure. Not complaining because it meant we had good weather!

      Lovely well appointed property in a wonderful location. The owners go out of their way top ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay and add the little extras that make a big difference. The cottage is packed with character and very cosy. The area is ideal for hiking, birdwatching and dog walking - although dog owners must be aware that adders are rife in the surrounding countryside. The local vets carry stocks of anti-serum. We liked the property so much that we've booked a further weeks stay in September
