Whitby has a lovely selection of holiday cottages including cottages and lodges with hot tubs. No matter the season, hot tubs can provide a relaxing addition to any holiday cottage break. From romantic breaks to escaping the 9-5 with a group of friends, hot tub holidays are a welcome addition to a holiday cottage or lodge. Whitby has so much to explore; from discovering the town's rich history to making the most of Whitby's long, sandy beach. After a busy day enjoying this charming town, a soak in a hot tub would be a great way to end the day.

How to make the most of a cottage with a hot tub

Whitby cottages with hot tubs can be appreciated all year round. In the summer enjoy the warm weather by relaxing in the hot tub with a cool drink. In the winter keep warm despite the cold air while relaxing among the bubbles.

Hot tubs can provide an excellent alternative to going out in the evening. Cook up a storm in your cottage kitchen and then while the evening away relaxing in the hot tubs. If you have kids, you won't even need to worry about getting them back in time for bed or trying to find a babysitter. Infact there's no need to save a dip in the cottage hot tub for the evening only. After a busy morning exploring the sights of Whitby why not have a diy spa afternoon back at your holiday cottage or lodge and make the most of having a hot tub at your disposal.

Nearby you can visit Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay, or Helmsley

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Theresa - Verified booking

A lovely cottage in the perfect location.

Very well-appointed and comfortable. It kept its rustic charms whilst still been modern in terms of appliances, facillities and features. The cottage's position overlooking the hillside and valley is used very advantageously in the design and it provides a wonderful backdrop both physically and as a view from the windows. We loved dining outside and overlooking these views. We had a couple of issues over patchy wi-fi connection, unavoidable I guess given the relative remoteness of the location, but they were always sorted quickly and without fuss and I suspect if we'd had any other issues that would've been the case also. The driveway is a little steep and difficult to negoiate in places and if you ever able to be in a position to change this I think it would serve the overall experience of the cottage well. One other thing that occured but didn't actually come into play whilst we were there, is the proximity of the two cottages on site to each other, with regards to privacy especially when outside. The other cottage was empty when we were there so it didn't apply, but we felt had it been occupied it would have prohibited us slightly in enjoying the outside and the garden as there was not enough of a fence seperating the two and not everybody is comfortable in sharing what is essentially a communal space with total strangers. We loved our stay at the cottage and can not speak highly enough of it.

A lovely break away at a beautiful place.

Denise & Chris were so welcoming & very helpful. Meadowsweet is a renovated grain barn and it was just fab! Lovely seeing the chickens wandering round, alongside lots of pheasants and lovely Casper the dog and Gaz the cat! The driveway is quite lengthy with potholes as previous guests have also mentioned, and steep in places too, so just go very steady up & down. We also struggled to find the cottage via the directions, but stopped at Goathland post office who pointed us in the right direction (back to Goathland Church from the post office and then right at the mini roundabout past the Mallyan Spout Hotel and follow the road quite a good while, then Murkside Cottages eventually on your right, just past a forest). All in all a really lovely stay, the place was just beautiful (beds so comfy too!) and scenery was stunning, lovely to wake up to each morning and could see the steam train in the valley too at certain times of the day. We were also not far from a lovely little village called Egton which had a great little pub called The Witching Post Inn. We recommend! Thanks again for a lovely stay!

We have done many hot tub breaks, and this was the worst of them.

Cottage downstairs was ok, but very small and cramped upstairs, back yard was very untidy with dead leaves and pine needles everywhere, first night there after a day out cottage was very cold and had to use blankets, when i spoke to owner I had to investigate the boiler which after a promt from me it transpired that someone had turned the radiator temp down, something that should have been checked before handover to us. No welcome pack upon arrival, a first for us, a a big no no. And first time in hot tub there is nowhere to secure the lid other than lean it up against posts, which to my surprise the wind blew it down and landed on my head, as i was on my own at this point, i perish the thought of what would have happened if it had knocked me out! Instead i suffered a very sore neck and shoulders for the duration, and even now, 3 weeks after it is still sore. Glad we only booked it for a long weekend

A lovely property. Well equipped and nicely furnished. A lovely hamper was there on our arrival, which was a nice touch. Its only has a small kitchen if there's a large group of people needing access. Good location for access to the town and shops but it is very noisy as it is right beside the main road on a crossroads where the A171 meets the A174 with very busy traffic. It was hot when we were there, and so we needed the windows open, which obviously allowed the road noise to be heard even more. Outside seating area was poor. Only 4 chairs and no table. So if there's a party of more than 4 there's not seating for everyone. Also, it's very noisy with the traffic going backwards and forwards. There was only 1 key in the 'key lock box' to gain access to the property. It would have been useful to have 2. ( when there's a large group of people occupying the property )

A very sweet and amazingly well equipped little cottage out in the middle of nowhere in N Yorkshire.

Inside, the ground floor is perfect. Cosy main room with comfy sofas, large fire, good furniture. Rosie clearly likes hearts. We counted 41 in this room alone ! Good kitchen with everything and more one could expect. And another (dinning?) room we never used. Unfortunately the much smaller 1st floor is not so good. 2 tiny bedrooms and a tiny bathroom is silly. Enough room for 1 reasonable sized bedroom and a bathroom? We used the twin room as a dressing room. Could never recommend as a 2 couples cottage. Getting in a hot tub in a hot tub at the end of a winter's day out is of course always sublime. The garden is ideal for a dog. Would we stay again ? Inside the cottage - definitely Yes. But it was just too isolated, meaning getting in the car every day. Loads of good walks around, but none close enough to set off directly from the cottage.
