What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Ngaire Vine - Verified booking

Overall a really good holiday. House was spotless and dressed for Xmas, much appreciated thanks. The gift basket with wine was lovely - thank you! Location was perfect and couldn’t be beaten. Some points would have made it outstanding. Fridge is far too small and struggled to keep cold enough and this was in winter- cannot imagine how it is in summer. No info given on whether there was a clothes horse provided until we found by chance hidden in an upstairs wardrobe on our last day. Only one door key was inconvenient, we had to all go out at the same time or someone had to stay behind. 2 keys would have been better. No bin bags provided except the ones in the bin when we arrived. No soap provided - a small hotel soap would have been nice. Also some sachets of salt and pepper would have been good. It’s a slog up and down from Barnoon car park, bring a camping trailer if you have a lot of things!

We’ve stayed in apartment 6 and 12 in the past in this development and unfortunately the cleanliness of this apartment was very disappointing.

There was mould on the bathroom ceiling, the twin bedroom smelt dank and mould was present on the furniture and walls in the twin bedroom. The smell was so bad that our daughter slept with us in the main bedroom as black mould spores are detrimental to health. There was hair on the top of the set of drawers in the twin bedroom. The TV cabinet doors in the living area contained bits of dirt and hair in the glass. The outside area hadn’t been swept. I can provide photos if necessary. We arrived and we thoroughly cleaned the apartment, which is extremely disappointing after a long journey. Therefore, the standard of cleanliness needs to improve considerably for future guests, to warrant the price and to be worthy of a 5 star accolade. We’d also like to make you aware this apartment is advertised including Netflix but when we tried to use it the account wasn’t registered.

We absolutely loved this cottage! It’s in a perfect location — tucked away on a quiet street but right in the heart of everything. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, making it feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived. It's just a short walk from the long stay car park, though it's worth noting that the hill between the car park and the cottage is very steep, and you can’t drive directly up to the house. That said, we didn’t mind at all — it just took a couple of trips to bring our things in. Everything about our stay was fantastic — the cleanliness, the decor, and the peaceful yet central location. We would highly recommend this place and would happily stay again!

This cottage is just what we were looking for. I’d avoid staying in the centre of St Ives in the summer months but in February it was perfect. You’re right in the heart of everything yet it’s tucked away in a peaceful quaint street. Parking is a few minutes walk away up a steep hill. We bought a weekly permit which was fantastic as we could use it to stay at all the places we visited over the week. The cottage itself has everything you’d need and is surprisingly large upstairs offering three bedrooms with lots of storage for clothes. The utility/boot room area downstairs was also a very useful area. Comfortable stay overall. We lost heating and hot water one day but this was fixed the same day

The location of this cottage is perfect for visiting bustling StIves. We loved sitting in the window and looking out across the water. The ease of accessing the views and local walks / shops was a real plus. The cottage was cosy and easy to keep warm with smart TV and plenty of games to keep the kids entertained. Wi-Fi was also good. Good kitchen space with fridge, freezer and washer drier. Lots of places to eat or take away as well. It’s located near a church and road that’s used infrequently but is right outside the door causing some noise but didn’t bother us. We parked at the train station for the week for £15 but spaces were limited.
