What our customers say about their holidays

    • Tim - Verified booking

Lovely cottage, part of a farm that sits in its own, very quiet twenty acres, where dogs can safely be let off the lead in order to run around.

Cottage immaculately clean with everything you could need. Lovely, helpful hosts and it was nice to meet some of the caravan owners who were on the other side of the field. A great place to base yourself, whether you want to explore Cornwall or just chill sitting in the grounds. Mevagissey is lovely to visit (you'll walk round it quite quickly) but don't follow the satnav; the road is barely one car width! Pity the driver towing a caravan who meets the same coming from the opposite direction! We mentioned this to one of the caravaners and they'd followed the same route, though not towing, and found it hairy, too! Though it's a bit further, but doesn't take longer, go via St. Austell. Charlestown (near St. Austell), St. Mawes and Pendennis Castle (English Heritage, Falmouth) are worth visiting, as is The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which was superb value for money. We hope you enjoy your trip, as well as your stay at Vose Farm!

A very peaceful location, with well tended grounds.

Cottage building was attractive. Laundry facilities were good (rotary clothes line in small garden with a daisy filled lawn) and the cottage was clean. All bathroom and kitchen facilities operated well. We were surprised there was no ‘welcome’ kit with milk, tea and coffee or a few biscuits and no shower gel - the only accommodation where we’ve found non of these ready. We’d brought our own but these touches always make guests feel welcome, even if in small amounts. Towels were clean but rough. We were disappointed that there were no outdoor cushions to make the two metal chairs comfortable so we could enjoy a morning coffee and that the outdoor bench/ table was rotting and not comfortable for summer evening relaxation, where the pleasant surroundings could then be enjoyed. Date of experience: 01 June 2023

This is a cosy little cottage set in fantastic surroundings.

Set in the Cornish countryside with its' own large duck pond and woodland for walks it was just idyllic. The garden is fully enclosed which was ideal for our small dog. The owner was very helpful when we had to ring for directions. The directions given say that the sat nav stops 600 yards short. Ours stopped over 2 miles short (Tom Tom) in the village of Tregony (nice little shop/post office there) hence our confusion when we couldn't find the farm after 600 yards. He came to check all was well after we had settled into the cottage. I have marked the cottage down on comfort as the sofa was just too comfy and we struggled to get up out of it!!! Lovely place to stay in Cornwall with helpful host.

The farm hosts a number of holiday cottages.

Beech Cottage was beautifully furnished with curtains and cushions etc recently replaced. The bedding was high quality Egyptian Cotton and the bed was so comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped for self-catering with the cleanest oven I've ever seen at a holiday kitchen. Great to have a washing machine, and washing line outside too. Outside seating front and back to enjoy the sunshine both morning and evening. The grounds were amazing and designed to enable walking/running staying within the farm grounds. Owners were really helpful and checked shortly after our arrival if we had everything we needed - a lovely touch. A fantastic cottage - highly recommended.

Exceeded expectations as did not realise it was on such a beautiful and well kept location.

It was so peaceful, relaxing and close to lovely pub/restaurants. The cottage had everything we needed and was a delightful home from home. Our dog was really comfortable here and the walks through the woods was an unexpected treat. Phil, the owner, welcomed us on arrival and made sure all was ok, when we experienced a small issue he came daily to check and made sure it was sorted. You can tell the owners care. We would return here for definite if visiting the area and would recommend to anyone considering the area. Lots of lovely beaches, harbours and amenities within a 10 minutes drive and the Eden Project was 25 minutes.
