This was probably the best small cottage I've ever stayed in as a solo weekend breaker, who spends their time hiding away from a busy life and writing.
Whilst it's only a studio, it was spacious enough not to feel tight, and the tiny kitchen was better equipped than others I've experienced. One of my biggest hopes is always silence/minimum noise and again this was perfect. The highland cows made no trouble, and whilst I was aware that the unit next door was also in use, I never heard them through the walls, so good soundproofing? It felt like the owner had put great thought into the entire layout of creating this space, with many of the sockets even including USB ports. I think literally the only 'issue' I had was the shower. There was a big rain head and a smaller one attached to the pole and I could not figure out how to switch the flow from the smaller one to the large. It wasn't really a problem so I didn't call on the owner, but rather a 'huh' moment. Oh, and the drive entry is tight. I was relieved my car wasn't bigger as my sensors were going mad as I very carefully had to manoeuvre out (not so much going in?). This met my needs perfectly, though maybe it needs to be more clear that 'privacy' outside isn't what I'd class as private. You have your own dedicated parking space and picnic bench, but the neighbouring unit does also and only a low fence separates you. If both parties wanted to dine outside, you'd be just metres away more like in a pub garden. Not private-private. But I'd definitely book this again.

The location of the property was excellent within easy walk to the sea front, town centre and the local pub, which was literally next door. Access was easy albeit we had agreed an earlier arrival which caused a little confusion but all sorted. The layout of the accommodation is great but be aware there is a cast iron spiral staircase to the upper level so may not suite everyone. the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need and the added bonus is having the courtyard, particularly great if you have a dog and would be fantastic had we had a little more sun to sit out on the evening after days out walking. Shower is fantastic and more than enough storage space for clothing etc. Fab stay and will definitely be back. Thanks! Nothing really to dislike. Perhaps take out the single chair and put in a two seater sofa in the lounge area if possible as it was slightly cosy for two adults who wanted to stretch out in the evenings. By far not a deal breaker to be honest. The bed was great but the mattress for us was very soft (personal preference!). What would be a great addition is a BBQ to make the most of the outside space in the warmer months and maybe a small outside cabinet to put muddy boots.

On opening the gate I was surprised to see a spacious courtyard and a well presented living quarter that was off the side of a large say Victorian era house. Entering the accomodation there was a welcoming card ,chocolate biscuits, milk and a loaf of bread supplied by the hosts whom I met a little later giving me a warm welcome and then left me to my hols ...nice people. The accomodation was quite spacious with a large open kitchen ,dinning room and comfy living room with TV. Up the spiral staircase you enter into the one main bedroom again a big comfy king-size double bed plenty of pillows clean bedding. Off the bedroom was the modern bathroom all kept well hot running water great large shower ,towels , toilet rolls and soap packs The courtyard was secure enough for me to let the dog out and the accomodation is situated about 5 mins from the beach front and is in a nice botanical gardens type of area. There is a bar just round the corner that looks popular and serves food also if you carry on up the road just round the corner there is a convenience shop(Morrisons). All in all great value for money off road parking and I would and hope to stay here again!!! The foggy Scarborough mist ??

We booked all 3 apartments has a family and we were delighted with whole place.
Each apartment was well thought out in design and the facilities offered. it allowed us to gather has a family in the down stairs apartment for food drinks an a catch up.the downstairs apartment has bifold windows which allowed the dogs in and out freely with some lovely hanging lights. There was everything you could possibly need. washers, dishwashers, all your cleaning equipment and complimentary tea coffee and milk and biscuits for your arrival, shower shampoo and soap and towels.the beds and sofas were comfortable too. We loved everything about this place. Just down the road were some lovely gardens to walk around that overlooked the beach and town an the walk down to town was lovely, a little Cliffe tram is available if your not up for the walk down or back up. Parking out front or on the side street is freely available.we all loved each apartment and would definitely return.also great that each apartment can be rented out independently of the others is good there is keypad security to each apartment for this reason.

A beautiful, spacious, well decorated and furnished house in short walking distance to Scarborough beach front and the main strip of cafes, restaurants, fish & chip take away’s and the arcades. Parking on the beach front is doable although traffic is slow, so it’s definitely quicker to walk down from the house. Cayton Bay is a short drive which is perfect for dogs - they’re allowed full access to the beach off-lead all year round. There’s also free on-street parking and a pay & display car park at this beach. The info pack in the house has parking discs - although we weren’t sure where these were eligible for but it’s very handy to have them :-). The house was clean, quiet, quirky. Very well equipped and we enjoyed the games selection on a rainy afternoon. Parking up is easy and the private, secure garden was perfect for our dog to enjoy. There’s a smart TV with a Netflix account for the guests to use which is a brilliant touch. You feel safe and cosy in this property.
