I ACTUALLY SLEPT WELL!
!!! This statement is so important to me because I never sleep well in other beds. Beds, pillows and linen are of great quality and comfortable. Android TV's in all the double rooms! First world modern problems huh? This really helps, especially for someone like me who's mind is constantly racing. I get to channel my thoughts and go straight to sleep. Great for the kids also when getting ready in morning and night. The whole house just screams comfort, luxury and tranquility! The garden ugh! What a garden it is. Enough showers for everyone and that bathtub! One could go to sleep in that bathtub and wake up a relaxed raisin. A fun filled garage stocked with beach toys, Pool table which Doubles as a table tennis.... Table oh and a washing machine. One thing I hate, is you come to properties like this and greeted with an undertake micro fridge with a freezer drawer. NOT THIS PLACE! Large American style fridge freezer and pantry to accommodate ALL your groceries. No query, random, useless decorative items randomly placed either. You can tell upon arrival that this house was designed and decorated with taste and comfort in mind. Fantastic location with easy access into Scarborough. Only little feedback I'd recommend is adding blinds to the windows to add another layer blocking light from coming in. This is easy enough with the beautiful large window bays. I LOVED THIS PROPERTY, we all did and can't wait to come back!!!!

We had a wonderful time at 5 Westwood Road.
The property was exactly as described and there was plenty of space for our party of 4 adults, a three year old and a baby. The host was very thoughtful, leaving out a high chair and a couple of bath toys for the children, as well as a few soft drinks and plenty of biscuits! Dishwasher tablets were also provided. The garden was a delight. Our 3 year old grandson spent most of his time there - the weather was great - when we were not at the beach. An excellent location for introducing a three year to the British seaside. Morrisons Local literally a minute away and then Scarborough has other much bigger supermarkets very close to the house. It is easy to walk into town and to the beach - Valley Road way makes for a more gentle climb back. We didnât use the car at all and would certainly like to return whatever the weather/time of year as there is plenty to keep different family members occupied. Location of house means getting in and out of Scarborough relatively painless. Hosts were available and always responded to any text messages etc. very quickly. Thank you, Marie.

We are very grateful that the owners of this property came to our rescue at the last minute, when our original holiday cottage booking was unsuitable. On arrival at Phoenix Drive, there was ample parking for our car, and the house was very clean and well presented. We found a downstairs toilet, a main bathroom, and an en-suite, which was just perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a welcome pack waiting for us. The lounge and dining area was nicely decorated and furnished. Upstairs, the bedrooms were well presented, and the beds were very comfortable. The small garden with a lawned area was perfect for our dog. The house is on a quiet housing estate, a short drive away from a large Lidl, which is handy for a quick food shop. Phoenix Drive is a great place to stay and a perfect base for exploring Scarborough and other attractions in Yorkshire. We would definitely recommend this property.

Our family went for Christmas. This was the first time we have had ever gone away at this time. The house was decorated beautifully. Christmas items throughout like decorations in every room, towels, tea towels, chocolate coins and biscuits to name a few. The house was spotless and extremely spacious for our party of 9 including a dog! All rooms were perfectly equipped and the outside area was a big hit for our dog. Very safe and secure, would love to use this space in the summer! The house was in a good location easily accessible to shops and of course the sea. It has certainly given us a Christmas to remember and treasure. We experienced a family member sadly requiring to go into hospital and the host again went above and beyond enabling us to extend our stay! Thank you so so much Marie and Chris. Cant wait to book again.

The property is listed as child friendly but we thought there could be more child safety features in place.
There was no safety gate at the top of the stairs, and no fire guard in the lounge. (although to be fair we did not have the fire on. ). Our toddler did keep touching the fire though as he doesn't have one in his house and thought the pebbles were real. A toddler step in the bathroom would have been a bonus and we never found the high chair. Maybe you had to ask for it. The cot only comes with the base but the owner did try to find us a thicker mattress but without success. Remember to bring your own thick cot mattress if you stay here. We improvised with a couple of sheets folded over and it was fine. After we had left ,the owner contacted us to say she had found a pair of toddler shoes , and was happy to post them on to us, which was really kind.
