Three adults, two small dogs.
We have stayed in holiday homes for many, many years and this must be the most unwelcoming to date. Not even a tea bag left for us on arrival. I'd taken all we needed but really, the hosts don't want to provide a welcoming hot drink? The kitchen- lots and lots of utensils and plates and a good range of glasses. Just a handful of mugs. One clean tea towel. No hand soap. We didn't use the dish washer but I noticed that there was one dishwasher tablet. We used the oven once to warm plates and that seemed to work ok. Dining area- lovely large dining table with overhead light. Bathroom- hand soap dispenser empty. Shower worked great. We didn't use the bath. Bath towels are adequate. Front bedroom- needs a blind or net curtain as pedestrians can see directly in from the pavement. We kept the curtains closed for privacy. The cheap curtains completely cover the radiator so heat lost into the curtain. Plenty of hangars in the wardrobe. Cheap bedding. There is a blood stain on the mattress topper. Pillows very thin. Second bedroom- again, cheap bedding. No wardrobe. Steps lead to outside. Living room- mostly comfortable. Several pouffes, all worn with little filling. If watching tv from one end of the sofa, the visitor will get neck ache. The room could be laid out better. Several clip boards on the walls with printed pics. It felt like the owners wanted to hang pictures, but not to spend a few quid on something nice. Garden- uncared for which is sad to see. Dogs can easily get out. Futile attempts made to make it secure but it clearly isn't. Grden furniture is grubby. Uneven surfaces all around the property. The grass will soon need a good cut. Hedges have last years growth on them. Conservatory- locked up and unable to access. Uncared for. It would be a great asset to the property as the morning sun in there looked lovely. No blind on the door leading into the conservatory from the kitchen. So lack of privacy from the garden and the property at the back. Guttering by the back door needs attention. There was constantly water dripping from this guttering which is immediately by the door making the area wet. This will be icey in cold weather. Drain from the kitchen sink completely blocked with leaves and roof debris. Water from the sink was running onto the drive, we unblocked it a little to stop this. The drive to the property is long and states it will accomodate 2 cars. Well yes, but only if the trees and hedges are cut back. We had to park immediately outside the back door as no space to open the car doors on the drive, unless we opened them into hedges. Maybe smaller cars will be ok. The internet is intermittent and was especially poor the weekend we arrived. Good luck with working the central heating. We managed with the help of Google. Yes, we could have asked the owner, but we sorted it. The property warms up lovely. Wherever we have stayed previously, I've been happy to wipe around areas like I do at home. Other than a vacum cleaner and floor wipe, no cleaning products left to use. We wouldn't stay again. We felt that guests are not made to feel welcome with cheap furnishings and uncared for garden. A little investment would make a big difference

We had a wonderful holiday at Green End House.
The house was exactly as pictured, spotlessly clean and there was so much space for us all. The cupboards full of games, books and dvds were brilliant for rainy days and the table tennis table was a huge hit. The bbq and hot tub were also much appreciated! The village was perfectly placed for some lovely days out at Brimham Rocks, Lightwater Valley and Thorpe Perrow. The local pub - just a five minute stroll from the house - was super friendly with tasty, reasonably priced food for all the family. Notes for the owner: We would have liked a working dvd player in the super comfy red room- we couldn't get the telly to work in there at all; instructions for how to work the dishwasher in the utility room (loaded it, then couldn't figure out how to turn it on!) and Mum says to mention that the en-suite door in the second bedroom doesn't stay shut. These are teeny tiny niggles - our holiday, and the house, were absolutely fantastic and we would love to return someday. Thank you so much for the beautiful house and all of the helpful information you left for us, we had a brilliant time.

We had a fantastic stay at West View in June, great location for us walks from the doorstep or if you want to travel a bit further then Patley Bridge and Lofthouse are not too far to drive.
No shop in the village but Ripon only 4 miles away. Great friendly pub just around the corner which we visited on a couple of occasions enjoying a good home cook meal on the one visit. The cottage itself has 3 great sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. Big bathroom with a great shower although there was a certain knack to flushing the toilet, which could do with looking at. Great living room with comfortable sofa's, separate dining room with big table we could all sit round and eat at. Kitchen a nice size and well equipped although we did go out and buy our own wine glasses as wine glasses in the cottage were very small and could do with updating for those who enjoy a nice glass of wine. The back garden is lovely and as we had good weather it was a great place to sit out and our springer enjoyed the space, also great view and fab to see the lambs out the back. we had a fab week at West View and the best recommendation i can give is that we have rebooked for later on in the year

The cottage is in a lovely village .
It's well furnished and nicely decorated. The garden wasn't safe for our small dog (shih tzu). I would never and didn't leave him unattended. Whilst on lead with me he showed me he was able to put his head under the 5 bar gate and could have got out .he loves checking pee mails and unfortunately the small holly bush in the garden poked his eye . It resulted in us taking him to emergency vet who checked his eyes .we were given eye drops and pain relief . We had to return to the vet the following day. Its a very painful injury and it spoiled our holiday as Oscar was very uncomfortable and couldn't settle. We returned to the vets the following day to check his eye again. The vet recommended we take Oscar to our own Vet on our return which we did this morning and we had to buy more eye drops We have to take him back on Thursday to our vet for another check. Up to today we have spent £380 on vets fees. What was meant to be a relaxing holiday was anything but.

A stunning, spacious and comfortable large property in a lovely location.
It provided a great base to celebrate my 50th birthday with family/friends. The kitchen is huge and has everything (and more) than you would need for a comfortable stay. The downstairs space includes three living areas providing plenty of space to spread out. Upstairs, are five good sized bedrooms. The master suite is just incredible- stylishly designed and cavernous. The table football and table tennis are fun additions and there are a plethora of games/DVDs to use. Good location nearby to Ripon and Thirsk and just a hop off the A1M1. There is also good cycling from the house on fairly flat/minor road and plenty of space to store bikes. Suzy the owner is fabulous, contacting you before and during your stay to make sure all is well. All in all a truly wonderful location/house to provide the backdrop for a get together and where special memories can be made. Highly recommended.
