What our customers say about their holidays

    • Hilary - Verified booking

We loved the house, and have had a lovely holiday, but a couple of things that got missed.

. The oven had something spilt on the glass door which we couldnt get off.. It was there when we arrived. Grill had grated cheese still in the tray and on the wire and had to be washed before it could be used. There is a white mark on the work top which was hidden under the kettle. It was already there. The floors weren't very clean. They should have been mopped and we could see dog fur on the bottom our shoes/slippers. For the owners to maybe see if these things mentioned below can be rectified The windows in the lounge upstairs don't open very far and in hot weather it will be very uncomfortable to sit in there because it would be very hot Back door is very badly fitted. Tremendous draughts when it's very windy and makes it very cold. You can actually see daylight from inside the house. Windows in the bedroom to the left of the front door do not fit very well. When windy the blinds move & it's draughty. The toilet brush is also not clean &  needs to be replaced.. A couple of mornings it was quite chilly, but we never worked out how to turn the radiators on in the en suite bathrooms? Car parking is tight. For one car it's OK, but for two it might be challenging and if one or more is an SUV could be very difficult. There is a car park about 150yds away, but you will have to pay. But it was lovely place to stay, with a cafe & restaurants outside the front door, people are very friendly ; they shut about 10.00pm and we never heard a thing. It is walking distance along the coastal path or down the steep roads into the village with a few shops, restaurants & pubs. All in all lovely quiet holiday destination, but those with mobility issues may find it difficult.

'A really beautiful holiday cottage situated at top of Port Isaac & equidistant to Port Gaverne.

Excellently situated with the luxury of 2 car parking spaces!. Wonderfully designed interior to make the most of the building...3 bath/shower rooms to compliment the 3 bedrooms which were all extremely comfortable & with lovely crisp white linen. The owners appear to have thought of everything & we appreciated the seating area at end of hallway to take off shoes etc to deposit in the Shoe Box to make everything tidy & easily accessible. Loved the kitchen, which is extremely spacious & exceptionally well equipped as was the living room which was cosy & comfortable with many cushions & throws. We didn't need to use the log burner as the sun shone for 7 days, but a great addition for those who may have cooler weather. First grandson appreciated the many birds who frequented the next door garden (aged 12 months) & provided aerial displays for us first thing in the morning~ He was mesmerised. We really liked the star lights in the kitchen! We have stayed in many cottages in Port Isaac, over the years & Pendragon House is outstanding, certainly one of the best. Thankyou for a wonderful week away~ We had a great time visiting Padstow, Mevagissey, Charlestown, St.Ives, Eden & Polzeath & enjoyed many walks around the harbour. Dinner @ The Mote House by the harbour in Port Isaac is highly recommended by my son & partner who enjoyed it immensely. Doc Martin is currently on Location Shooting & there are a few familiar faces around & about. We noted the Director of Doc Martin stayed for a lengthy period @ Pendragon & there is an interesting file in the cottage to peruse. Overall, 5 * ~Thanks again! We would definitely rebook & highly recommend. The Langmans' Sheffield S.Yorkshire'.

We had a pleasant experience and enjoyed our time in Sea Horses cottage with our dogs.

Here are a few things we wanted to mention: We found the cottage to be cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. The lovely fireplace was a great addition and provided a cozy atmosphere for us to relax in the evenings. However, we did encounter a few challenges during our stay. locating the cottage was a bit difficult as it situated at the end of the street so direction could say this. We followed the house numbers, but it took us some time to find the right place. Additionally, we were unable to drive up to the cottage, to unload our stuff ( anything like Q7 size won't go there ). We found the check-out time of 9:30 AM to be quite early, especially when considering the tasks involved before leaving. We needed to take the dogs for a walk, retrieve the car from car park, load it with our belongings, strip the beds and clean the cottage. This left us with no time for a morning coffee or breakfast. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the overall experience. Thank you for providing a cozy and clean cottage for us and our dogs to enjoy.

We had a lovely stay at Camelot cottage, the cottage is in a great location to explore and it was fantastic to be able to accommodate our friendly dog.

The cottage is spacious for a family of four and very well equipped, a real home from home. Something to consider is that the stair at top of the staircase coming from the master bedroom is a little tricky and wouldn’t be suitable for younger children as extra caution is needed to navigate it. Another is the lack of privacy in outdoor spaces, the very small patio to the front is open to the street front and the tiny decked area to the back offers absolutely no privacy to the property next door, this also affects privacy when in the upstairs bathroom when windows are open. Finally I would like to point out that although we found the accommodation very clean there were some oversights we encountered, there was a packet of biscuits left out for us which I thought was lovely, however when we went to have one the pack was opened and half eaten, not very hygienic at all.
