"All the rooms were very clean and the decor is modern yet cosy. Had all the essentials we needed and Rebecca was kind enough to leave us some milk and tea bags. Loved having a hot tub which is in a private area of the garden. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back! The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a big bonus and the location was great for getting to all that Cornwall has to offer. Would highly recommend!Property was very clean and good quality. This cottage is well presented and nicely finished, well equipped, with hot tub being an great added bonus! Good parking and private garden grounds. Comfortable home from home accommodation. Sociable open layout in the living/ dining/ kitchen hub. Well located for all we wished to see in the County and with good local facilities. The owner Rebecca was very warm and welcoming. Was like been home for home. All the furnishings was high quality no expense spared. Great location for couples and families. Lovely little village with all amenities. Will 100% book again."

"The cottage made a good central point to visit the area. It was clean, nicely presented, and quite comfortable. The people around about were very friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few things that prevented the cottage from feel like that special place you would want to come back to. Delabole has a good pub, a Spar and a Fish and Chip shop, but otherwise perhaps isn't as charming as many of the surrounding villages. The drive is very tight, rough and quite difficult to turn into and shared with other houses. Parking is very limitted at the cottage and on the road. Outside the cottage looked a little untidy and un-cared for. The grass was very long and full of weeds making it difficult to use the outside space. Unfortunately inside the dishwasher was not working and during our stay the boiler broke down so we had no hot water, although that was fixed pretty quickly by the house manager, Ian. Basically, it did not feel as nice a place to stay as other cottages we have rented, although clearly the area around is very popular."

"A lovely warm welcome from Conni & Tim. On arrival there was a lovely half dozen of freshly laid eggs from the farm, some local fudge, locally produced apple juice and even some doggie buscuits and milk in the fridge a nice touch indeed. The layout was excellent the fact we have to collie dogs, plenty of space in the main open plan kitchen, dining & lounge area. The kitchen was very well fitted with all the pans and utensils you’d need including a garlic crusher ! Very comfortable bed and my partner loved the electric blanket. It was quite cold when we stayed, but on the whole the storage heaters did the job, however another little fan heater would be handy to have.Good little area for the dogs just outside the garden wall and a field when the weather is drier.Very quiet and peaceful and handy to get round and about Cornwall, shops local enough too.Highly recommend and we certainly will return,an excellent property to stay in and nothing was too much trouble for Conni &Tim."

"The property is located approx 2 miles form Camelford down a narrow winding country lane and my sat nav directed me somewhat past the cottage. As a tip - look for the sign Trethin which is right outside the property. Or ask for Trethin as it would appear many locals know it. The cottage was found to be very comfortable with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the property which makes it less likely that you are going to disturb any one. The owners have left a folder with loads of advice such as the various local beaches. areas to explore and recommended pubs for meals. However if you intend visiting some of the pubs be wary of the narrow lanes as many sections are only wide enough for one vehicle. I haven’t made many comments re the cottage itself as our party of 4 adults and one grandchild were quite happy staying there. Aug 2011."

"A nice location and within easy reach for visiting the area and beyond. The property was very pleasant but a little cramped with 4 adults/3 dogs, but this didn't hamper the holiday at all as we were out all day, everyday enjoying what the area had to offer. This was the first time I had rented a house in the UK self catering so didn't have anything to compare it too. I found that the kitchen could have been a little better equipped in terms of utensils - the knives were very blunt and we only had 1 tea towel! These were very minor observations. The bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept very well. Dogs were well catered for with an abundance of dog towels to use - which were a godsend after numerous visits to the local beaches. They also enjoyed the lovely wooden dog bed in the porch. I would definitely recommend the house and area to friends."
