"Unfortunately our stay at tregatta terrace, was not the enjoyable experience we was hopeing for. We was looking for a relaxing family holiday, but with building work next door, which always started late Tea time and weekends, going on to Mid evening, this did make it had for our son to sleep, and us to relax after a busy family day out in the evening. The mattress in the main room was very old and lumpy making every night sleep uncomfortable, on expecting the mattress was old dirty, and made me feel sick thinking I was sleeping on it, the second bedroom the curtain rail fell off, meaning through out our stay we could not close the curtains in that room, my son had to sleep in there with no curtains up. the washing machine would never work on dryer, and with no washing line to use out side, we found it impossible to dry cloths, the fridge was old and kept freezing up, which meant all the food in the fridge would freeze and had to be put in the bin. The furniture is old and dated, the house had a funny smell to it and was damp, has damp started to appear on the walls towards the end of our two week stay, overall the property is in a lovely location close to lots of places to visit, we enjoy exploring Cornwall. All issues were reported to the owner throughout our stay and upon leaving."

"The cottage location is in a beautiful valley and as sheltered as possible from the prevailing weather conditions. It has access to a wonderful garden complete with fast flowing stream and the shrubs and flowers complement the natural surroundings. The cottage itself is very pleasant to stay in - but do be prepared to use the splendid wood burning stove in winter. This is great fun and the owners provided the fuel from the trees in the garden and we didn't have to cut the logs up ourselves! The dog particularly enjoyed himself with the surrounding walks and learnt how to go up and down the cliff paths and only fell in the stream once. Stout footwear is sensible as the going can be rough on some of the cliff paths. For those with mobility difficulties the National Trust have provided a level path on the cliff top to the south west of Tintagel castle which can be accessed via the road to the church. The views are wonderful here. Tintagel and Boscastle are the nearest locations and are more than adequate for shopping and meals but do remember that Cornwall is very seasonal so a lot of surrounding attractions are only open from Easter to October."

"This is at first glance a lovely if slightly quirky holiday cottage. The location just outside of Tintagel is great, the lanes and parking are tight but perfectly manageable and to be expected on the Cornish coast. However, there were some amazing cobwebs on the ceiling and when we went to store suitcases under beds we quickly changed our minds! We also discovered that it may have been a while since the mattress protectors were cleaned...The plumbing was interesting with difficulties getting water out of taps in one bathroom and difficulty stopping the shower! Then the basic maintenance that was lacking, door knobs falling off etc...The kitchen was well equipped but again cobwebs in corners and floor mops falling apart meant that I felt the need to clean everything before using it.Internet and mobile signal were both unavailable which personally I thought was a good thing!Log burner was great made the lounge really cosy.Someone needs to start loving this property again for it to rise higher in my estimation, start with a better cleaner!"

"I have just had an absolutely wonderful week's holiday at Miller's House and I absolutely loved every minute of it. The cottage is beautiful, really charming with its' beams in the ceiling, log fire and cosy furniture. It was equipped with everything -Everything was spotlessly clean. There are good heaters and radiators in every room so the whole house is super cosy. I brought my beloved cat with me and he was welcomed with open arms and he enjoyed the garden too! And the cosy rooms! The gardens are beautiful, very extensive woodland gardens with trees, a huge lawn, a stream, and lovely walks. I really needed a week's peace and tranquility and this cottage was just perfect for that. In fact I am going to go back again in a month or so! Thankyou so much, I have had a fantastic holiday here, I love it, can't wait to go back again."

"Overall cottage is in a good location with nice views etc and is well furnished and equipped. However, a couple of issues far outweigh this : the main bedroom ids incredibly damp - clothes that were in the wardrobe were damp to the touch and unworn clothes were still damp 2 days after our return home. Secondly, on the 4th night, on going to bed in the main bedroom - we could clearly hear rats scurrying and squeaking in the sealed roof space - this was quite disconcerting and resulted in little sleep. On raising this the following morning with the owner, was advised "oh, I'll have to get my husband to deal with that". Obviously rats in the property not considered an issue as it didn't warrant any return contact from the owner. ****I'D SERIOUSLY ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING AT THIS PROPERTY TO THINK ABOUT IT CAREFULLY***"
