    • Mrs Jefferies - Verified booking

Nice site, 4 generations of family enjoyed the site’s facilities including the pool, restaurant and bar. There is also a tennis court and lots of water activities which were used and enjoyed by many. Great location to go out exploring. The house was clean and comfy but could do with a little bit of care to make it a great place to stay. Weedy patio with some loose, wobbly slabs which we thought were dangerous with small children, if you stood on one end they lifted right up and could trip you up. Needed more kitchen equipment for 8 adults, glasses, baking tins etc..cushions for garden chairs would be nice. Small niggles that would be easy to improve.

We were massively disappointed when we turned up to find the hottub wasn’t working. The whole point of the holiday was a hot tub chill holiday so we are massively unhappy with this. We then get told that someone’s going to fix it which then to be told it’s not fixable in the time we were there. We were then promised a cream tea (which we already had so didn’t need another one) and a bottle of Prosecco to try make up for this fault which was never received and would like to speak to someone about this. Other than this one big thing the rest of the holiday was lovely but we wouldn’t of gone if we had known the hot tub was out of action

Great property, spread over 3 floors, nice outside space( enclosed grass area for the dog was a bonus) , nicely furnished with plenty of room for everyone, well equipped kitchen nice hot tub. Stayed at Retallack on numerous occasions best property yet for location and dog friendly. Would not recommend for anybody who struggles with stairs. Property was not ready when we arrived (still being cleaned) owner gave us a £50 bar tab to compensate and property was ready within 1hr. Only negative you need 2 adults to lift the lid off the hot tub. Would we stay here again YES definitely.

Lovely property with the following comments: - The tv service was glitching for the full week and no one resolved it despite mentioning it at reception. Without a fire stick we would have had no in house entertainment - it is advertised as pet friendly but with cream carpets and no where to dry the dog after walks we were constantly cleaning - the beds which are all singles made into kings were uncomfortable and the bases were not fastened together meaning you tend to fall through the middle at night.
