    Holiday Cottages in Marazion

Situated in West Cornwall, the ancient market town of Marazion is a great place to visit whatever time of year you're looking to travel. Just two miles away is Penzance and it's only ½ a mile from St Michael's Mount (and its safe sandy beach), making it extremely popular with beach goers - those who want to relax on the golden sands, have a dip in the sea, swim or take part in exhilarating watersports.

Our cottages in Marazion are definitely worth writing home about too. Think luxury pads with hot tubs and swimming pools ideal for large groups, semi-detached family holiday homes with sea views and enclosed gardens, and barn conversions a short walking distance from Cornwall's most beautiful countryside. That's not all either as we also have dog-friendly self-catering cottages meaning no one's left out.

At Snaptrip, we have thousands of properties for you to choose from - all of which have been picked for their amenities, facilities and location. As we work with our suppliers directly, it means we're able to offer the best prices and deals on the market. What our customers say about their holidays

Staying at Little Westwards for our Easter break was an absolute treat!

Melanie and Mel are such wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble, with Melanie ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Our family agreed that accommodation at Little Westwards is the best self-catering we have had the pleasure of being able to enjoy, so much so, that we had re-booked for October half term only a couple of days into our stay! In an extremely quiet village and with plenty of outdoor and parking space, you are immediately struck by the location on arrival, which really is the ideal base for exploring and even cycling from. (Thank you for storing my bike in the garage, Melanie!) Everywhere outside is very secure and our Cockapoo, Rosie, loved the freedom of being able to roam. The accommodation itself was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed yet felt so homely and welcoming. The fudge and welcome treats (including a fabulous dog toy!) were a lovely touch, with even a personalised card from Melanie for our arrival. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to enjoy family meals and plenty of space for a week’s shop. As a family of four, we loved having two bathrooms, with their own hot water tanks for baths and showers – so useful! The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved our week so much we didn’t want to leave. We are very much looking forward to coming back to Little Westwards and planning our next adventure. Thank you so much Melanie and Mel for making us so welcome and for allowing us to enjoy your accommodation.

      We had a great stay.

It's a small property, but has everything you need and the owners are really helpful; on hand if you need them, but not if you don't! Many lovely 'extras' provided and quality bedding, sheets etc. The listing called the property an apartment, which was confusing, but we rang to query this as we wanted a cottage not an apartment (which we thought of as wholly contained within another building). It turned out it is really a separate,self-contained, semi-detached part of the owners' home. Unless I had queried this, we probably would not have booked the property, which would have been a shame. The comfort score is only a '4' because the beds were rather too firm for me (issues with my back). If you like a firm mattress, this is no problem at all. One other comment; there was milk, tea and coffee when we arrived and a lovely bottle of wine, but a small loaf and some butter would have helped as we had to pop out for that as soon as we arrived. (This has been pretty common in other cottages we have stayed in). However, we were sent a list of what would be in the welcome pack, so we should have realised!

The accommodation was excellent, as advertised.

The property had all the comforts of home providing a good standard of accessories within the apartment. I was slightly apprehensive about being able to park, however there was no need to be as not only is there parking available at the property on a first come first serve basis but the management have negotiated free parking with the local car parks which are around 100 yards away from the property. Permits are supplied for both. The one drawback which was probably out of the control of the management company was building work taking place next door. The management company point out that it is advisable to leave the windows on a vent setting to allow circulation of air within the property throughout the day. Unfortunately this had the effect of allowing an ingress of dust to enter the property from the building work taking place. The work commenced at 08:00 each morning and resulted in some noise from the mechanical diggers employed. This is only temporary and will not be an issue when the next door work has been completed.

This is a pleasant 'cottage' in a good situation.

The owners, who are on-site, left fresh flowers and a generous welcome package which we appreciated. While the accommodation as a whole was spacious and generally comfortable we found the main bed quite hard (as reported by a previous guest) and the heating (three completely different and individually set electric radiators plus two towel rails) a bit of a nuisance to get right during warm days and chilly mornings and evenings. It was also unfortunate that there were problems with the TV when we first arrived and although the owners were prompt to try to rectify that we found the process for finding and selecting programmes a bit long winded compared with just turning on and entering a channel number. China, cookware and kitchen tools were adequate but all the glasses were large, a set of small tumblers would be a good addition. These weren't big problems but just a bit irritating.

First class villa in a fantastic location very close to the beach.

Well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. My only negative is the parking is quite difficult and hotly contested with residents and other holiday makers. It was advertised on a first come first served basis, however, it's only suitable for smaller cars and there are only about 9 spaces and 16 properties. As a result I elected to park my fairly large estate car in the car park recommended by the owners. My phone wouldn't load the Just Park app (4g not available) so I paid Just Park via their automated phone line for the complete week. The advert stated a 'small fee' however the cost for a full 7 days was £83.40 which, as a pensioner, I don't necessarily consider a 'small fee'. That said we had a great stay and really enjoyed our holiday.
