"The location of this property is why I would recommend it. A two minute walk to the train station & then a very short 15/20 minute journey into central London, makes this a great place to stay on the outskirts, if you want to spend your days sightseeing in London. Winchmore Hill itself has some great dining pubs & restaurants. The cottage itself, although very quaint, isn't very practical as a space to come back to relax in, which is the downside. It feels very formal & is over packed with unnecessary old furniture and knick knacks. It feels more like staying in a B&B or an older Aunts house. The stairs are extremely steep & the kitchen is on the first floor with the bedrooms which makes it difficult to cook anything & then bring it downstairs to eat. There is no DVD player & not enough comfortable sofa's to relax on an evening. The bedrooms don't have proper wardrobes so be prepared to literally live out of your case. Clean & tidy, but not practical for a family."

"I can’t say enough about the owner of this property. Nick was so helpful in orientating us to the area as well as greeting us when we arrived and familiarizing us with the workings of the flat. He even bought us all a bottle of wine as a welcome! The flat itself far, far exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and relatively new and overall extremely comfortable especially after a hard day out sightseeing and being on your feet all day. So nice to come back and kick back with a nice cup of tea in your own flat. It was convenient to local transport and we had no problems using buses to get to the flat. I will recommend this service to all of my friends as I was an extremely pleased customer. Nick should be commended for making a stay at his flat so effortless! Thanks again! Aug 2006."

"We had a lovely time at Suffolk house. The travel into London was easy and we spent a day in Lego land which was also easy to get to from the property. The house was clean and comfortable and there were basic things in the cupboards such as salt, sugar which meant we didn't need to buy these which we have had to do at other properties. When we arrived there was also tea and coffee and milk which meant we could relax a bit before heading out to get shopping. The lovely garden provided us with a quiet space to relax in after a day in the city. We would recommend this to our friends and family and would stay again."

"Lovely flat, very bright, well maintained and spacious.Conveniently located for buses and tube (Central Line).Great to have use of a garage and small outdoor garden.Accommodation has all that you need and beds and seating are very comfortable. Situated in a quiet street and yet close enough to Central London, Notting Hill and surrounding towns.Overall a great place for a short stay and would definitely return. The owner was very helpful, provided great directions and information and was very responsive."

"Great flat for our family of 5, bigger than it looks on the photos with absolutely all the equipment you need. It's very close to buses and very well located to go to the city centre, particularly handy for all the museums in Kensington. Interesting multi-cultural area where "real people" actually live, contrary to other places in the city. Nick is reponsive and thoughtful (thanks for the wine!). We have already recommended it and hope to be back soon."
