"We had a really lovely short break to visit the Harrogate Christmas market. We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends."

"Compact well equipped and warm Lodge within driving distance of the Harrogate, Skipton and Ripon area. Very friendly owner. Quite easily accommodated three adults although four may be a squeeze as there isn't much room in the twin bedroom. Two children would be fine though. Had outdoor seating area but not able to use due to inclement November weather :) Close to Swinsty & Fewston Reservoirs for a nice level walk with dogs and children. Only downside I would say is that the entrance is directly off the A59 which is very busy at times. Overall a good value for money short break"

"accommodation warm and cosy, owners friendly and helpful"

"Ideally placed for easy access to Harrogate. Booked for specific purpose and involvement in a Harrogate-based event. To this end, it fitted the bill exactly. Getting towards the end of the season, the lodge has been well used and fixtures and fittings are beginning to look a little tired with several minor repairs necessary. Within a farm, so be prepared for country smells. However, would recommend."

"Excellently equipped property and owners resolved a couple of minor niggles quickly with no fuss. Location was good for touring the vicinity, but all trips needed to be by a car. Unfortunately the weather for got it was August and not October!"

"This is a working farm and has all the noise and smells of a working farm, the family are friendly and the farm is very clean. This was a fantastic holiday for my family, a well placed location for the area close to Harrogate and York. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who would be interested in visiting Yorkshire. The cottage is on the A59 and has so many places to visit Knaresborough castle is only 20 mins away and York 30 mins. Lovely driving through the County, we drove to Gauthland and caught the steam train to Whitby, and the chocolate experience at York is a must. Plenty of great places to eat out that are close to the cottage."

"A great situation and a sweet lodge, all on one level after you get up three steps to enter. Perhaps the owners could make a ramp to ease entry for the disabled. There was no toilet roll in one of the toilets; it would be a nice touch to sort this for the next guests. It was clean, very pleasant and comfortable, and I recommend it."

"We had a great break with hosts happy to help you if you needed anything cottage was well furnished not much room in the bedrooms but very comfortable .would recommend but you are aware that it is on a working farm ."

"Ideal location for walking and sightseeing"
    William ‐ 28 Nov 2018
"Suited our purpose for a three night week-end stay"
    Melanie ‐ 16 Nov 2018
"I would not recommend it. It was dirty, the bedding in one room was bad. There was mold in the bathrooms. The travel cot was dirty ,it didn’t have a mattress and it didn’t fit into the bedroom. No hand towel for the kitchen, no dishcloth or soap, we had to ask for some. Not the best stay."
    Steve ‐ 30 Oct 2018
    "A very enjoyable stay."
    Madeleine ‐ 29 Oct 2018
"A great stay in a comfortable and well equipped lodge. Was perfectly located for the things we wanted to do inc. a day in York, Ingleton waterfalls trail, Bolton Abbey and walks on the dales. Pubs close by and a short drive into Harrogate."
    Helen ‐ 19 Oct 2018
"Lodge itself is lovely and well appointed. The location however is something that isn't great, no signage to show where lodges were, the road that should have a 5mph speed limit was not adhered to by one farm vehicle or any vehicle visiting doggy day care and you can't move about the farm due to health and safety restrictions. If you have little ones be careful getting in and out of the car as it's open to the busy road, and main bedroom looks onto the cattery. Now to the good bit inside very new and modern, lovely kitchen appliances but no washing up liquid or things to wash up with. If a group are staying best you know each other really well as bathroom nearly in living room. Outside a lovely decked area with table and chairs and a wooded garden but not totally safe for little dogs due to fence as they can escape. With all the land on the farm if they relocated it it would be more private and quieter."
