Marazion is the perfect place for seaside holidays and if you’re looking for a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful Cornish coastline, this refurbished 2-bedroom cottage is just the place. Set close to Marazion’s shops, restaurants and main sandy beach as well as St Michael’s Mount which can be reached either on foot when the tide is out, or by boat when it’s high, all that the town and area has to offer is within easy reach.

Cartref Cottage has been lovingly revamped by its owners and while now modern and elegant, it still has the charm of a traditional seaside dwelling. On the ground floor there’s a lovely split-level space where the amply kitted-out kitchen/diner lies open plan with a beautiful living room. The two can be separated with a sliding pocket door, so for guests looking to create a cosier atmosphere for movie nights in, it works perfectly. Upstairs, two elegant bedrooms and a large family bathroom provide ample room for three guests. Both are tastefully styled and include a double and a single. The beds are adorned with sustainable luxury linens from local interior boutique Fou Furnishings and the main bedroom has a flat screen TV with Freeview. Outside there’s an enclosed courtyard garden. Furnished with a bistro table and chairs, this is a lovely place for morning coffees and sundowners after a day on the beach.

Marazion is awash with great places to eat as well as boutiques, cafes and gift shops. The main beach with its sweeping sandy stretch and views of St Michael’s Mount offers some of the best sailing, wind and kite surfing in Cornwall. On calm days you’ll be able to SUP with board hire and lessons available from GoSUP and Ocean High Kiteboarding and SUP School, both of which are based on the beach.

The beautiful ground floor lounge features exposed timber beams and is furnished with a large corner sofa, a Smart TV with Freeview and other occasional items of furniture

This room though open plan, has a sliding door to separate it from the kitchen and dining area

The ground floor kitchen has access out to the rear courtyard and is equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and cafetiere

A selection of cutlery, crockery, dishes, cookware, utensils and glasses is provided

Utility

The separate ground floor utility houses the washing machine, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner

Dining Area

Forming part of the kitchen and partially tucked in under the staircase this area is furnished with a table and three chairs

Bedroom One

This beautiful room is positioned on the first floor and is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, bedside lamps, mirror, Smart TV with Freeview and a hanging rail

Bedroom Two

This room is furnished with a single bed, bedside shelf and hanging rail with shelves

Family Bathroom

Located on the second floor with bath and shower over (with handheld attachment), hand basin, cabinet, mirror and WC

Outside

The small sunny private courtyard is accessed from the ground floor kitchen and is furnished with a bistro table and two chairs

Parking
