Wooler is a welcoming market town nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The picturesque small town of Rothbury sits at the foot of the Simonside Hills where the River Coquet runs through. The National Trust property of Cragside is located on the fringe of Rothbury. The historic town of Alnwick with its dramatic castle is only a short drive east and offers a wide range of facilities.
