    Ingleton Holiday Cottages

Ingleton is a picturesque village in the Yorkshire Dales. It’s home to the famous White Scar Cave, Britain’s longest show cave at over a kilometre in length, as well as Ingleton Waterfalls Trail – a four-mile circular walk taking in nine waterfalls. The village sits on the Settle-Carlisle railway line, making it easy to reach by train. Start your day with a trip to one of Ingleton’s three coffee shops and immerse yourself in the independent boutiques and art galleries, before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the pubs or restaurants.

Our Ingleton holiday cottages are chosen for their charm and location. Choose from stone-wall cottages in the village centre and family-friendly country houses with large gardens and outdoor kitchens. Whether you’re looking for a cosy bolthole for two or a large property for a group of friends or family, Ingleton has it all.

Snaptrip offers a best price guarantee on all of our 60,000 holiday UK cottages - meaning you won't find better value anywhere else. Our friendly customer service team are always happy to help with all bookings.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Russell - Verified booking

This was our second time here and, despite the wet January weather, we still enjoyed our weeks stay.

There was two of us and Stan, the small dog. We feel it that it would be cramped for more than two but it does accommodate 4 and all provisions and facilities are there for this number of guests. The cottage has good quality facilities, very clean and pet friendly. The central heating was excellent in every room and kept us snug whilst it rained for most of the stay. The gas fire was very warm as Stan will confirm. The two bedrooms have double beds and nice quality bedding and towels. We think that the cottage has “nice vibes” and being pretty solid you don’t hear the neighbours. Bentham is a good place to stay and a fair choice of pubs and eating places given its size. A Co-op and Spar are very close by and open late so no problems for shopping. There’s a Bus stop right outside to Ingleton or Kirkby Stephen and a train station about 5 minute walk to Leeds or Lancaster means that you don’t need a car to enjoy being in Bentham. There’s no shortage of walks 5 minutes from the front door into the countryside and the riverbank walks are very relaxing. You will need waterproof boots if it’s been raining heavy for some of the walks. The cottage is in the village centre and easy walking to most of the 4 pubs (which means no drink driving) but plenty of gastro pubs out into the countryside if you wish. Off road parking right outside the front door meant that access for those with mobility issues is minimal. Stairs are not too steep and plenty of hand rails. A contact number was left for any issues (we had none at all) and a welcome pack with card is a friendly touch. The big test for any stay is would you go back and stay there again- for us it’s definitely yes.

The cottage is ideally located in the centre of high bentham.

Didn't use car as much as everything was within walking distant. The cottage was spotless. Cosy living/dining area. Kitchen was bigger than we thought it would be. Had everything we needed to cook. Gas fire in living room was brilliant as we had some rainy days. The two bedrooms were good sizes for small cottage. The beds were the most comfortable ones we had stayed in. The sofa and chair were good size but need replacing as not comfortable to sit on . Could have done with 2 sets of towels each as due to weather couldn't hang washing out, and no air dryer in house to put out wet clothes on. The parking space in front of cottage was really good as only allowed 30 minutes on main street. Would definitely stay here again. Pubs, restaurants, shops were really good.

We absolutely loved our stay at Honey Pot Cottage.

The decor was really bright and fresh, all furniture, fittings and linens were good quality and the location was perfect. It is in a pretty, little rural town which is set in beautiful countryside but has all the amenities you could need. There is a bakery, chip shop, cash machines, grocery shops, butchers, children's play area, train and a fabulous craft shop all within a few minutes walk. There is even a train station that is a 10 minute walk. The perfect base for exploring the area. The owners were friendly and offered to help with anything we needed and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore this part of the dales.

We really enjoyed our stay at Corner Cottage.

Ingleton is a good base for visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Ingleton also has the waterfall walk which we advise doing if you can cope with a 4.5 mile walk, steep at times. The Ingleton people were very friendly. Corner Cottage is well equipped with guidebooks which we used for several more good walks such as Ribblehead Viaduct. The Smart TV was good, once I got my head around it. There’s plenty of local dog friendly eating places within walking distance like The Falls Bar and Kitchen, the Wheat-sheaf Inn, Masons Free House and the Marton Arms. We had no problems finding a parking place on Main Street near Corner Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and we recommend it.

Just returned from a lovely short break at Honey Pot Cottage.

What a lovely place to visit with lots of really good walks and returning to this lovely cottage was the icing on the cake. All the facilities you need and very comfortable beds. I was particularly impressed with the little things that normally nag at me when I stay in a holiday cottage such as somewhere to put your suitcase and a shelf in the shower to put all your toiletries on. A lot of thought has obviously been put into ensuring you have a comfortable break. Only niggle was the noise from the fan in the bathroom when you turned the light on, as I'm a light sleeper this did wake me up. However I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
