We loved the cottage and probably one of the best we have stayed in. It was really peaceful and well equipped. The location is superb for the most interesting and beautiful walks. The mist added to the charm. We even experienced a cloud inversion!

Booked for a week as walking holiday. The house is big with two bed rooms which we only used one room as two of us. Very clean and spotless, got everything we needed in the house. Convenient to reach lots of walking path which we only used car couple of times due visit other areas. Really enjoyed the stay and thanks for the owners who left a lovely chocolate cake as treat it very useful during long walk. Will consider to go back again and highly recommended this home to home holiday cottage.

Scar End cottage is a great place to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is comfortable and it has everything you need for a holiday. The location is excellent; it is right out in the countryside at the end of a farm track but you are still only 2km from Ingleton which has pubs and a shop. Also you can walk direct to Ingleborough and Twistleton Scars so on some days we didn't need to use our car at all. And other attractions, such as White Scar cave, are just a short drive away. There is just so much to do and see around Twistleton.
